I guess it's a good time to be a Democrat... Because the GOP is eating its own, now. Or at least the Trumpists are determind to cannabalize the party, assuring Democratic administrations for a decade.Trump's solid block of supporters, 30% or so of Americans continue to make the "Disrupter in Chief" a power in politics, kinda like a wrecking ball- destroying structures, establishments, but not capable of creating a team, building anything: a nihilist looting the wreckage he created.

Yes, a nihilist. Donald Trump denies affiliation with any organized faith, claiming only to kinda, sorta believes in God: “I now consider myself to be a non-denominational Christian”.

Anyhow, the end of the Republican Party as the Trumpist base splits, making the minority (but effective and organized) party an even smaller force. It don't matter how organized 20%, 25% or the electorate are, they're null and void. Even if their former allies, the Trumplicans are a terrorist organization. And Trumpists are such.

As the second impeachment trial of the former president begins, nearly half of Republicans, 46%, say it is very important for the party to remain loyal to Trump, with 27% saying it is somewhat important. Twelve percent don't believe it is important at all to stay loyal to the former leader of the Republian Party.

Additionally, 71% of Republicans say that any member of the party who votes to impeach or convict Trump is disloyal, compared to 29% who say they are principled.

When it comes to the basis of the impeachment trial, whether Trump incited the deadly riot at the Capitol last month, 54% of Americans believe he did. That percentage rises to 88% among Democrats and drops to 21% among Republicans.

The stark difference in opinion between political parties highlights the divide in the country, with 57% of Republicans describing their Democratic counterparts as "enemies." Forty-three percent say they are their "political opposition."

The hostility decreases somewhat among Democrats, with 41% describing Republicans as their enemies and 59% describing them as political opposition.

Despite the deep partisan divides, a majority of Americans, 56%, still believe the Senate should convict Trump in his second impeachment trial.
