Manhattan prosecutors obviously think they have the goods to convict. I'm betting on their professionalism against Trump's consistent lies. Anybody who steals from their own charitable foundation has demonstrated a lack of common morality.

From the Wa Po article reporting this:

"Vance’s investigation is expansive, according to people familiar with the probe and public disclosures made during related litigation. His investigators are scrutinizing Trump’s business practices before he was president, including whether the value of specific properties in the Trump Organization’s real estate portfolio were manipulated in a way that defrauded banks and insurance companies, and if any tax benefits were obtained illegally through unscrupulous asset valuation."

The proof will be in the documents submitted to various agencies. "Somebody else did it first!" "Everybody does it!" "No harm no foul no crime', He mostly paid everybody won't wash these stains away. The proof will be presented in black and white.

I wouldn't be surprised to see at least some of his bankruptcies ("That makes me smart!") investigated for fraud, as well.
