In 2005 at the National Weater service in Texas it was 102 degrees.
Now if your post is 100% correct it should be twice or 204 degrees, I don't think so! Right now it is only 81 degrees. I don't question that it is hot, but twice as much heat.
Also I question if the article means much. Since 2005 greenhouse gas emissions have fallen by 10% and power sector emissions have fallen by 27%. (From the Environmental Protection Agency) Funny how the article clams the big reason is emissions, but our emissions are down. Oh, maybe it is the rest of the world doing it. No, it looks like total global emissions are down, 7% in 2019.
