That's the problem with TrumpeRINOs- they tend to be hyperbolic. I'm not just 'anti-Trump', I'm a traitor bent on destroying America. I reckon y'all pretty scared of the dark, too...
Illegal entry into America is a misdemeanor, not a felony- on the first conviction. Subsequent entry may be prosecuted as a felony.
A misdemeanor is not the same as 'legal'. It is still a crime. Those convicted are not felons while they still have a criminal history.
So much for that.
I admire anybody who comes to America to work, contribute to our economy and prosperity. Until border crossings became so diificult, migrants came to America, made their 'fortunes' and returned home. If they spent that, they could come back, again and again. One could apply for a 'green card', cross the border and work in less than a year. Now the application takes years, about 6 years the last time I checked. (I have relatives born in Central America.) That's a significant part of a workingman's life, especially a low-skilled worker. Now it's more productive to bolt the border and just stay, which opens the illegals up to all kinds of criminal exploitation.
Just like the 'War on Drugs' enriched drug lords and impoverished addicts, Trumpist migration policy has enriched criminals and exploited the immigrant workers, domestic employers. Isn't that counter-productive?
