You made a post about large cities and I owe you a response.

yes they have areas of poverty and crime, they also have high costs of living, why?. They are poorly managed for years by the left. Think of Detroit. Democratic policies are destroying the inner cities, let me make a few points.

Yeah, let us look at Detroit. It's not "Democratic policies" that destroyed Detroit or other 'Rust Belt' industrialized cities. It was, wait for it- industries abandoning expensive urban locations. Ambitious rural areas developed industrial parks with tax incentives, etc. to lure manufacturing jobs out of cities. The average wage at those new plants was less and the sites could be located and developed with less issues than in an urban area.

Detroit was also the victim of it's own success and business plans. They built models deigned to last 3 years and a hundred thousand miles. In their opinion, Americans would never buy any of those funny little foreign cars just because they were well engineered, well built and durable. Detroit's idea of designing for the market was opera windows and vinyl tops, 'cheome' that was a film on a base metal. My last American car went through a quart of oil every 800 miles but that was within manufacturers tolerance. The windows fell of the tracks, the headliner fell down- I lost it in a flood, good feckin' riddance. Almost 40 years later, I have never bought American cars since- some Japanese built in America, but not American.

"Illegal immigrants; Inner cities are being crushed by the illegal alien workforce. The cost is high and jobs are getting eaten up. Even Obamacare is harder to get in inner cities and the democrats are taking money from Obamacare subsidies to give to illegal immigrants."

I'm gonna challenge you on that one- the most dynamic parts of Atlanta are immigrant. I'm not talking about the hipster neighborhoods, but the commercial areas.

I haven't seen more than a half dozen Anglos/Black Americans at a construction site in the last 20 years. The jobs are there,  Americans don't want'em. Continues in the post-pandemic era, too.

Gun Control; For decades democrats have taken away and restricted the right to protect themselves and families. Th cities are crime ridden and you can't even try to keep your family safe without being a criminal yourself.

No shyte? Open carry, concealed carry are common.

Miminimum wage: It just might be the most racist laws we have. Studies show that for each 10% increase in minimum wage there Is a 6.5% decrease employment for Black males.

Hmmmm. There is a racial aspect to minimum wage laws, but not what you point out.

EPA regulations: Inner cities already are struggling to pay their bills. And the New GreenDeal will just push more into poverty.

Speculation.

Schools: There is a huge difference in the money spent in different districts. The governments job should be to make opportunities equal. Tax money should be given out equally per student, not more money to areas that pay more in tax.

That's the law in Georgia, school taxes are redistributed by the state. There are still advantaged and disadvantaged schools, the government is a very inefficient tool of equalization. Especially if it involves elected officials.

This is just a short list of how the left has destroyed the inner cities, didn't even post about there lack of inforceing laws.

You left out white flight. The value of urban property is diminished as many people move to 'idyllic' suburban McMansion developments. Except the hipsters who appreciate inner city infrastructure and take over distressed home and neighborhoods, put money into improvements and live happily ever after with cheap labor for their businesses. And no commute.
