The Democrats of Detroit must run the nation because all the Rust Belt industrial cities are collapsing. Detroit peaked in the mid and late 40s and have been downhill ever since, through Democratic and Republican administrations, just as other American manufacrure has done.

You're half right- illegals, immigrants generally take whatever work they can get. I talked to an Ethiopian (Eritrean?) physician who is a happy but ambitious American janitor. Like a lot of immigrants, soon he'll have his own business.
Next time you're at a construction site, talk to some of the guys at work. Not, repeat- not the guys wearing the big construction contractor insignia. The other guys without logos and you'll find they bid jobs as contracters, work 14, 16 hours a day or more, knock out a couple contracts a week instead of one, live in group houses, save their money and go home.
The hardening of the border, immigration has made them resident illegals. They can't just go home and come back to refill their coffers and then go home. So they stay here, avoid law enforcement and are more easily exploited by employers and blackmailers.
I stand by my point about guns. Most every city with major crime rate als has the most gun laws.
So- which is it? Gun laws or big cities that cause that crime? Crime is related to economics and violence is very, very local. Strangers seldom commit violence on other strangers. Family kills family.
wages: Did You know that democrats passed Bacon-Davis with the purpose to keep blacks out of the Unions. Higher wages have always been racist. Each time wages go up, the lever of skills will also increase, taking people without experience out of the work. You know this is true, if you fly, I bet you have never seen a company increase wages without a increase in job requirements.

EPA regulations is not speculation. Gas prices go up, who's pocket does it hurt the worst.

Why does Georgia have advantaged and disadvantaged schools, if it is not a unbalanced cash level.
It is an unbalanced school tax situation. And an unbalanced population in general. The small town I live in has a reputation for excellent schools and housing is and has always been at a premium. People move here for the schools and care about the education system. As a result, 99%+ of our school students graduate compared to the national average of 88% and 83% (I think for the state).
The city schools have a huge advantage in recieving a generous philanthropic grant from a local businessman several decades ago. But the citizens have seen the benefit that funding brought and consistently worked to maintain the advantage. Without a significant advantage in the tax base, until recently.
