Your basic premise is false. Trump is not a conservative, he's a reactionary, purely destructive.
If Trump is not a conservative- and he is not! then the opposition to his policies can be true conservatives, moderates as well as liberaly and LEFTIST: which is an extremely small division of the polity. Yes, 'leftists' are politically active and seek journalistic coverage. Otherwise, they would have no effect whatsoever: as I said, the left is miniscule.
As is the America extreme right that Trump brought to light. His candidacy laid their issues bare to America but his presidency was largely about what benefitted Trump politically, not right or left causes. As I said: he's a destroyer, a disrupter and not a creater of teams. If one of his staff has an idea, it instantly becomes Trump's so he can claim the credit.
