The part I don't get about the Iron Dome is why do we have to pay for it?  

There was a lot of hoopla this past week about the Billion dollars to re-supply the missiles used in the iron dome defense system. I'm all for the system, it seems to be effective at doing it's job. But why does the US have to pay the Billion dollars to re-supply it? Israel should be paying for that, it's not like they are some third world dirt poor country. Israel is a wealthy country and they can afford to pay for that.

That's just a Billion dollar hand out because they have friends in Congress. AOC and her gang were against it for all the wrong reasons, I get that, but I don't get why we are paying for it...
