You don't care if you are infected. Why would you care if you infected others. Well, I guess you might be sorry when somebody you care for is infected bu you and dies, or is a 'long-termer'. I guess 'germ theory' is still dubious in your eyes?

No, the vaccine has not "inhibited their ability to fight it off." Viruses mutate moving from host to host and between species host. 'Omicron' has develeoped in a somewhat resistant population and thus is not vulnerable in the same ways the original was. Vacines are 'additive' to existing resistance, and the omicron developed and spread in that population.
