Only Trump's failure could have made Joe a preferable candidate. But I agree that the Democratic ticket was, to put it as politely as possible- sub-par.
But I'm not a Democrat, I voted against Trump- again. It won't be necessary in 2024 because The Donald is not going to be at the head of the Republican ticket.

Which part of that scenario do you find entertaining, humorous? When 1.1 million Americans are dead will you still be laughing? The peak isn't until the mid/end of January and the decline will be gradual. You learned nothing from the irony of Trump's infection, did you?
Many of my siblings and their family have been through it, none succumbed although they are also in the high risk group. Not even comparable to the worst cold I ever had- but I'm fully vaccinated altho the booster wasn't fully effective yet. I reckon omicron and the successive variants are changing a lot of things.
Matter of fact, I think my wife and I have a breakthrough infections right now. Her office staff are all infected, but vaccinated so they're not hospitalized. All the hospital beds are full, triage is BRUTAL.

The Donald, in all his full party loving mode is/was a longtime friend, associate and partier with Epstein. And we know he rode the plane even though he has his own fleet. AND THAT'S REAL INTERESTING: Why would someone with his own jet(s) for his own convenience and preferences leave millions of dollars on the tarmac? Because it's not Trump's style to pass on "a chance", a chance that the Lolita Expresses offered. He takes what he is inclined to take even if he has to attack in a dressings room. "The Lolita Express" had Trump aboard because it wasn't his plane and offered what he wanted but wished to be as far from his name as possible.

At the risk of being repetitive, Trump got Biden elected. I'm not happy with that result except it got Trump out of the Oval Office. That will bring the urgency of de-Donalding and reconservativing the Republican Party. That's happening. And that's why Trump could put a Democrat in the Oval Office in 2024. Trump has alienated true conservative Republicans, fracturing 'the Base' from Republicanism even if he doesn't start his own party. He has effectively done that already, it's just a matter of semantics now.
Reminder- Trump did not get the popular majority even in 2016- 46.1%; and only very slightly improved that as an incumbent- 46.9% losing t9o Biden's solid 51.3%. America, Americans don't want Trump back. His presidency and opinion of it may rise, but the Trump Flu, the Trump Recession and January 6 clearly revealed who he really is, and he is inept or ignorant as POTUS.
Yeah, he's rude, outspoken and machismo, but those aren't qualifications, cowboy- they're objections.
There's an old story told about LBJ, who wasn't exactly subtle. A reporter asked him about Congressional opposition? He smiled and responded "I'm not worried, I have their nuts in my pocket to squeeze as hard and as often as I wish."
The opposite of Trump, who:

The curtain has dropped on The Donald's presidency just as it did on Jimmy Carter's. Both were tragedies but personally and intentionally as opposite as the two men are.
