What is the point of all of his bluster with Disney and the education system, it's to get him in the spotlight. We all know what his ambitions are and he is trying to appeal to the Extreme Right trump base.
Our education system has to teach children truth and reality not lies and deceit. At the appropriate age as determined by experts on the subject, children need to be taught that people are different, not everyone is the same. Some people are Gay, some people are Heterosexual, some people are Transgendered, etc. That's the reality of the world we live in.
It's also the right time and age to start children out on the right foot in accepting all people from all walks of life, so that as they grow up fewer will have hateful or wrongful impressions of their fellow man. All people are God's children, all people are equally important, and all people deserve respect.
Sure parents should have a say in their children's education, but at the end of the day you have to have a standardized educational program. It's impossible to please all parents there are simply too many opinions. The Extremists can home school their children if they wish.
Teach children truth and respect, otherwise they will learn it on the playground and they are likely to get it completely wrong...
