Let's review Trump's preisdency, especially 2020 which resulted in:  

the most severe economic reaction sine the Great Depression, by the end of 2020 and a partial recovery in the last few months of the year resulting in an overall contration of "only" 3.5%.

Trump's denial, delay and downplaying the threat of an epidemic has resulted in America leading the world in infection cases;

the highest unemployment rate ever! ; >

And more than a million Americans dying in spite of world class health care.

2020 ended Trump's reelection, also resulting in January 6th mob violence.
