Old Dude, what you fail to take into consideration is...  

These children are in many cases already being indoctrinated with hate in their homes. Especially in the red states there are huge amounts of children being raised in racist and/or homophobic homes.

It's very important for children to be taught that this is unacceptable behavior, all people should be treated with respect. Recognize and accept that people are different and that's just fine.

I don't know how your children were raised Old Dude, but when you read posts from the likes of Obsy and Sharky you know that the children raised in those homes were not taught about acceptance and tolerance. In fact they were probably exposed to racist and homophobic rants and name calling by their parents and others.

As a society we must tamp down hate, not encourage it. I in no way support teaching young children about sexual acts, but I do support teaching them that all people are God's children and deserve respect. It's the responsibility of our educators to to teach children that in some cases their parents are simply wrong about these issues.
