I believe there Is much more to it.  It is the moral decay of our society.  Sure we need to have more oversight for those crazies, but as a society we need to make some big changes.  The big change would be that the democrats move back and become real democrats again.  Democrat policies have decayed the moral fabric.  

The most obvious signs of moral decay are out-of-wedlock births, breakup of families, having no concern whether behavior is morally right or wrong, amorality of public education and the increasing criminal activity.

There is no doubt that economic and social legislation from the lefties has had a negative impact on virtue.  People lose their moral value, when they are rewarded for having children out of wedlock, become dependent on welfare, and not held accountable for individual behavior.  We do not help the disadvantaged, by making poverty pay, by sending The message that the principal function of the government is to take care of you.

It is very possible that the killers are just a product of society moral decay!
