Sorry, I need to chime in here and give you some things to think about

You don't get to pick and choose which national security laws are followed. You also have no idea the level of sensitivity of the documents he illegally had on site. For you to say "Bottom line, even if there are classified documents in his house, it will not go anywhere", that's the most incredibly uninformed and ignorant thing I have ever seen you say on here. Do you really believe what you wrote? Do you believe Trump gets to decide how and where Top Secret highly sensitive documents are stored? No, he's the former president. And we have laws. This is not a "banana republic" as you so aptly stated in the past.

You either follow the rule of law or you don't. There is no in-between.

It was Trump, himself, who stiffened the penalties for the exact crime he is being investigated for.

If was Trump who criticized over and over Hillary's handling of her email server, and now arguably, we have something far worse.

Hillary did not go on-site and take highly sensitive material off site without proper clearance. There were e-mails, that arguably had confusing markings, that involved material that was already publicly known (drone strikes), that still technically were determined to have a classification mark. Comey made it clear that although it was careless, it is not a prosecutable crime.

Trump on the other hand took documents off-site that were of the highest security clearance. He allegedly refused to return them. They got together a grand-jury and even subpoenaed him to turn over the documents and he still didn't fully comply.

He claimed they were turned over, but then a highly reliable eye-witness informed the justice department that he still had highly sensitive documents. They went as far as putting a security lock in the area they believed the documents were to protect the integrity of our national secrets.

Apparently, they went on site and did find highly classified documents.

If Trump was so sure this was "wrong", he had the option to release the entire search warrant himself. Instead, he released the names of the DOJ / FBI officials who got the warrant and leaked them so that his group of thugs would threaten their lives (which they have been). This is what he does against anyone goes against him. He gets his clan of people to threaten them.

On the other hand, Trump refused to release the search warrant, however he made two interesting statements

Statement 1: The FBI may be planting evidence

Statement 2: Anything they found was previously de-classified

Those are two hail marys, to see which one would stick. Which one is it? You can't have both.

The most important thing now is none of us know precisely what was found. We do know that they did find documents that were classified at the highest level and were not authorized to be taken off-site, by a former president. There are strict controls as to how those documents can be handled and involve national security.

You dismiss all this. You dismiss this because the implications of Trump's actions are irrelevant to you. You are unable to be impartial when it comes to Trump and you believe every narrative he tells you without having any evidence.

The facts don't matter to you and any revelations that comes out will be on deaf ears with you. You'll find a way to both rationalize your own thoughts and those of Trump, even if they defy logic and common sense.

The facts are these

Fact 1: A Grand Jury Subpoena to retrieve the classified documents was issued. He failed to turn over what the grand jury demanded back
Fact 2: A very credible informant told the DOJ what Trump still had (and I'm assuming they found it)
Fact 3: This warrant was signed off by Merrick Garland, Christopher Wray (Head of FBI who was appointed by Trump), and A federal Judge. These people had to approve the raid of a former president's house. None of these people work for the democrats or the biden administration. It's a convenient strategy

You bought into this whole narrative by Trump that he is the victim of the Democrats, when in fact, The WH did not know anything about this. The Judge does not work for the White House. Christopher Wray was appointed by Trump.

Your point "Trump was the one that made a statement about the raid. You can bet the FBI wasn't counting on that. Trump seems to always be one step ahead of these predictable idiots. "

Trump knew this was going to come out, so his only shot in the media was to get ahead of this. The FBI purposely kept this low key so it wouldn't become a media circus. It was actually Trump who was caught off-guard when Merrick Garland said "Fine, let's unseal it so that the public knows what this is about". THAT caught Trump off-guard. Merrick has nothing to hide

You gotta look deep inside your soul and as yourself this question

"None of us have all the facts yet and we don't know what highly classified documents he may have kept, contrary to our own strict laws, part of those which he even signed into law". How could you draw a conclusion, devoid of having lots of critical information, and make this all about "Orange man bad" characterizations?

You lost complete credibility here.
