Everybody knew Trump lied. They knew the purpose of his lie- to initiate the reversal of an election he clearly lost, by a violebt insurrection if necessary a la' January 6.
Trump needed some pretense to justify the coup and claiming a flawed election is exactly the philosophy of Trump's failed business dealings: sue somebody, anybody and everybody. It's a threat designed to cow an opponent who doesn't want to litigate an issue forever. Chaos is trump's preferred state of operations.
