We started this forum nearly 15+ years ago. It was meant to take the political rif-raf off of Just Helicopters. Over time, we've had George Bush, Two Terms of Obama, Trump, and now Biden in office. The left, the moderate, and the right on here have gone back and forth about ideas Of late, I have seen a trend where the alt-right on here (Old guy, observer, Shark) have disregarded facts laid out right in front of them. You can have a 5 minute video of Trump talking and they will deny it's true stating "it was taken out of context". The entire 5 minutes. Now, the latest, Ruper Murdoch has admitted that he knew the stop the steal was a big lie and he failed to stop his own station, whose commentators also knew it was a lie, from spreading that lie. He said he did it because he didn't want to upset his Maga base. This was in black & white in court records...But Old guy kept doubling down then started with his name calling. If we cannot even have an honest converstaion about clear facts in front of us, then there is no point in discussing a single thing. Then Old guy continued doubling down making more things up as a means of deflecting. Either have an honest conversation on here or don't come here - You can have an opinion, but certain things are black & white cold hard facts that are not disputable. We're not interested in conspiracy theories and things that cannot be proven. Another exaple. Flipper and I had a discussion about "Ivermectin" and its ability (or not) to prevent covid. The world-class gold standard studies are "double blind placebo studies" to show if someone is effective or not. Three separate double blind placebo studies assessed if it actually works - Results? All three said "It had zero effectiveness compared to placebo" ... So Flipper said "Those studies were influences by money and greed etc" ... So he's saying that three separate double blind placebo studies from different organizations and one from another country were all fake and the inferior studies done (not double blind placebo) he took stock in - In other words, the studies that were not as careful, were not as scientifically done, met wtih the conclusion that he believed, so he invalidated science and invalidated the gold standard scientific studies so that he can't be wrong - He never imagined that maybe the lower-quality studies are actually the ones that were not done properly or where there was outside influence.
Pizza gate - Every single police and government agency clearly said "There was nothing there and it was as scam". In fact, Pizza gate said that kids were being molested in the basement of the comet pizzaria. The comet pizzaria does not have a basement. Every single government agency, including the DOJ under Trump said "No findings at all" - Flipper cannot let go of it even though there isn't a shred of evidence... These are not people interested in an honest conversation. They will distort and offer conspiracy theories to protect their long-held beliefs. They are not interested in the truth. They are interested in being right, at any cost, even if they are lying to themselves and others. This site is done with that. Either debate honestly or go away. Period.
