“The Biden administration’s first major move on Cuba is the strongest signal yet it has little appetite to reverse Trump-era policies toward the island nation…The State Department this past week listed Cuba as among those 'not cooperating fully with United States antiterrorism efforts,' renewing a determination first made in 2020 [by Trump administration], reported The Hill.

Well, well. You’d like to think the Biden team’s (backhanded) compliment to the Trump team might issue from an actual analysis of how Trump’s Cuba policy protected U.S. interests. Alas, it’s probably nothing more than domestic realpolitik—i.e. an abashed recognition by Democrats of how thoroughly Trump shellacked Biden among those vital Cuban-American voters in vital Florida. 

“So, okay, okay,” Democrat strategists eye-roll and sigh, “looking ahead, seems like we’ll have to do some pandering to those deplorable right-wing Cuban-American crackpots after all.” But snickering Cuba-watchers gotta wonder how Obama and his crackerjack foreign policy team of John Kerry, Ben Rhodes--and especially!--CIA chief John Brennan are reacting. After all: 

“Cuba and the United States signed an agreement to cooperate in the fight against terrorism, drug trafficking, money laundering and other international criminal activities on the eve of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration," reported Reuters in January 2017. 

“Cuban security officials toured Key West drug-war center—A delegation of Cuban government national security officials recently toured the Pentagon’s counter-drug center in Key West (in May, 2016)— a first, signaling a nascent effort in U.S.-Cuban security cooperation. They got a briefing on the work that has been described as Southcom’s command center in the war on drugs.”

“Cuba has kept drug trafficking, in check— the U.S. State Department’s (under Obama) annual narcotics control report found that (Cuba) is not a major consumer, producer or transit point for illegal narcotics," the Miami Herald said in March 2017.

In brief, unlike in the case of a Republican’s word under oath (Kavanaugh, Barrett, etc.) the Obama team and their Fake News Media auxiliaries believed every word uttered by the KGB-mentored apparatchiks of a Russian satrapy. And to demonstrate their fidelity to the Russian satrap’s word, the Obama team put our national security where Castro’s mouth was, by giving his top defense and secret police apparatchiks a guided tour of some of our most vital defense facilities! 

In brief, unlike in the case with Republicans, no villainy linked to “Russian collusion” was attributed by Democrats to the apparatchiks who have run a terror-sponsoring Russian satrapy on our doorstep for upwards of 60 years! And the egg on the Obama foreign policy team’s faces kept getting thicker and more rotten:   

“Panamanian authorities on Saturday (May, 18, 2019) intercepted 46 suitcases containing an estimated $90 million in illegal drugs on a cargo ship that arrived from a Cuban port and was en route to Istanbul, Turkey. The suitcases contained 1,517 packages of drugs hidden in a container declared as containing charcoal.”

Needless to add: no mainstream U.S. media portal (not even Fox) reported on this blockbuster embarrassment to the Obama team. But this wasn’t the first egg on the faces of the Obama team, especially the architects of the partnership with Castro such as Pajama Boy Ben Rhodes and CIA Chief John Brennan, who secretly met with Raul Castro’s son Alejandro. Instead: 

“Panamanian authorities have intercepted over 401 kilos of cocaine in a shipment from Cuba en route to Belgium. The cocaine was found in a (Cuban) container camouflaged by (Cuban) molasses tanks.” (April, 14, 2017.)

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) attributes half the world’s cocaine supply to the Colombian Terror group FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia), who are intimately linked with the people who nowadays run next door Venezuela—who are Cuban-guarded and manipulated puppets.

"I don't think I'd even call them (Venezuela) a regime," said Navy Adm. Craig Faller, head of U.S. Southern Command a few years ago. "It's a mafia. It's an illicit business that he's (Nicholas Maduro) running with his 2,000 corrupt generals. It's ruining the country…Illicit narco trafficking through Venezuela is up some 40 percent.” So the dots shouldn’t have been overly difficult to connect. 

In fact, the FARC itself once gave credit where credit is due, attributing their rollicking success in terrorism and drug-smuggling to the Castro regime:  "Thanks to Castro" boasted late FARC commander Tiro-Fijo in an interview, "we are now a powerful army, not a hit and run band." 

Given the hefty piece of the action which the Castro-Family-Crime-Syndicate (mislabeled “Cuba” by the media) undoubtedly got/gets from FARC, it’s only proper that FARC kingpins have the run of the Castro Family Fiefdom. In fact, some of these distinguished gentlemen were seated just a few rows from Obama himself when he attended that baseball game in Havana during his famous visit in March 2016.

Not that the Cuban regime’s drug-running started recently. Not by a long-shot:   “The case we have against Raul Castro right now (for drug-trafficking) is much stronger than the one we had against Manuel Noriega in 1988.” (U.S. prosecutors in Florida to the Miami Herald, July 1996.)

“Federal prosecutors in Miami were prepared to indict Raul Castro as the head of a major cocaine smuggling conspiracy in 1993, but the Clinton Administration Justice Department overruled them, current and former Justice Department officials tell ABC News… 'It was a major investigation involving numerous witnesses that was killed at the highest levels in Washington,' said a former Justice Department official with direct knowledge of the case.”

All of the information above should have been well-known to the Obama team by the time they embraced the Castro Crime Syndicate as partners against crime.

So what if Cuba is a communist country? I could care less, Cuba is a tiny little island nation with a bunch of old American cars and some great beaches. It's a logical tourist destination for east coast Americans and should be left alone. 

Every country should determine their own way forward with respect to what type of government they will have, I respect that, and have no desire to try and change it, it's truly none of my business.

Cuba should be totally open for American tourism if they so desire, I am so sick and tired of conservative conspiracy bull shit, grow up...

On Tuesday, former President Barack Obama appeared on the Ezra Klein Show to discuss his latest book about his favorite topic — himself. For 60 minutes, Obama rewrote history about his presidency and spewed one false, vile, and nonsensical statement after another in front of a subservient “reporter” who gushed in response to everything his narcissistic guest said.

Obama used the interview, recorded in his Washington, D.C., office, to take credit for former President Trump’s economy. He referred to his years in the White House as “competent,” full of “integrity,” and scandal free.

Obama also took the opportunity to label rural Americans as “resentful,” unpersuadable, and uneducated bigots who cling to fear porn from right-wing news outlets: “If I went into those same places now … almost all news is from either Fox News, Sinclair news stations, talk radio, or some Facebook page. And trying to penetrate that is really difficult.”

He referred to Republican members of Congress who refused to pass gun legislation that would have rendered the Second Amendment meaningless and would have done absolutely nothing to prevent gun violence at Sandy Hook Elementary School as unwilling “to do anything about the slaughter of children” — a rather nasty insinuation.

He suggested that the corrupt media propagandists do not have a bias against Republicans. This about a press that told us that Trump colluded with Vladimir Putin to steal the 2016 election, that there was no way the COVID-19 vaccines would be developed under Operation Warp Speed by the end of last year, that Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation, and that it was a conspiracy theory to suggest that the Wuhan virus originated from a lab.

“If an administration is just misstating facts all the time, it starts looking like, gosh, the media’s anti-Trump,” Obama said. “And this becomes more evidence of a left-wing conspiracy and liberal elites trying to gang up on the guy.” In reality, it turns out Trump was right about the Fourth Estate being the enemy of the people. They simply cannot be trusted to tell the truth on just about any topic, ever.

No Obama interview would be complete without him calling the country that elected him to be the first African American president as systemically racist: “What we saw after George Floyd’s murder was a useful bit of truth-telling… I think [it] opened people’s eyes to a renewed way of thinking about how incomplete the process of reckoning has been in this country, when it comes to race.” Actually, it opened our eyes to violent riots that destroyed businesses, churches, and courthouses; burned and vandalized police precincts; and resulted in more than 30 people dead, 700 injured police officers, and more than $2 billion in property damage.

Obama preposterously labeled the Democrat party “empathetic” and “more thoughtful.” This about a party with members who are openly anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, anti-Christian, anti-life, anti-white, and anti-American, and a party whose leaders label all Trump supporters as white supremacists. Perhaps Obama meant “empathetic” to terrorist groups such as Hamas as they fired thousands of rockets at Israel, or thoughtful to illegal immigrants, as Biden allows them to pour across our southern border by the tens of thousands.

And on this atrocity of an interview went. Let’s correct the record.

Obama presided over the worst economic recovery of any post–World War II president. During his eight years, he had an abysmal average GDP growth of 1.6 percent, which puts him dead last, behind Harry Truman, who had to deal with an 11.6 percent economic contraction in 1946, four times greater than any other negative year since then. In Obama’s final quarter in office, eight years after the recession, he presided over a pathetic 2.1 percent growth rate. Obama also has the distinction of being the only U.S. president never to preside over a single year with 3 percent GDP growth.

During Obama’s presidency, American home ownership also decreased by 5.6 percent, while the number of Americans living below the poverty line increased by 3.5 percent. The number of Americans on Food Stamps also increased by 39.5 percent from 33 million to 46 million. And by the time he left office Obama had increased the national debt by 80.5 percent, from $10.63 trillion in 2009 to $19.19 trillion in 2016.

Regardless of those facts, Obama had the temerity to say that “I would argue, and I think a lot of economists that I know would suggest, that mostly that had nothing to do with Donald Trump’s policies, and mostly had to do with the fact that we had put the economy on a footing where he essentially just continued the longest peacetime recovery and sustained job growth in American history.” Unfortunately, Obama was unable to name a single economist who would suggest such nonsense.

In reality, President Trump reversed Obama’s disastrous economic policies by cutting taxes and cutting regulations. Before the pandemic Trump oversaw a 3.5 percent unemployment rate, the lowest in half a century; jobless claims hit a nearly 50-year low, and more Americans reported being employed than ever before — nearly 160 million; unemployment rates for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, Native Americans, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those without a high school diploma all reached record lows; nearly seven million people got off food stamps; unemployment for women was the lowest in nearly 70 years; and poverty rates for African Americans and Hispanic Americans were the lowest they had ever been. Obama does not deserve one iota of credit for any of those accomplishments.

And Obama’s White House was far from scandal free. His administration allowed thousands of guns to pass into the hands of suspected smugglers, resulting in the fatal 2010 shooting of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. He weaponized the IRS to target political opponents, he allowed his secretary of state to operate a private email server, and he falsely claimed the 2012 attack in Benghazi, in which Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others were killed, was not a terrorist attack but rather a reaction to an anti-Muslim film. Obama also prematurely withdrew the troops in Iraq, which led to the rise of ISIS in the Middle East. He provided the leading state sponsors of terrorism in Iran with billions of dollars and a pathway to build nuclear weapons, betrayed Israel, and created racial division (“If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon”). And, lest we forget, he used the FBI to spy on Trump’s campaign.

In Obama’s alternate universe, his presidency was such a success that all of Trump’s accomplishments were really his own accomplishments. And now the megalomaniac is praising President Biden for “finishing the job” of his administration by continuing to build on the Affordable Care Act, which did nothing to lower the cost of health care; rejoining the job-killing Paris Climate Accords, which will eliminate hundreds of thousands of jobs; and piling onto the national student debt with his free universal community college proposal.

But give Obama credit for his consistency — he is just as delusional and despicable as ever.

All we have to do is watch the Jan 6 Insurrection or go to one of Donnie's "Rallies", and we see that the "Quality" of the people is very low.
