STUART, FL– According to authorities, an illegal immigrant is in custody on a $1 million bail after allegedly raping an elderly woman at a senior living facility.
Rep. Chris Stewart @RepChrisStewart
Border security is national security. And there's no way around our unfortunate reality:
This is a crisis. President Biden needs to reverse his destructive Executive Orders and reinstate the policy that proved to work.
This is too important to keep ignoring.
In May, 20-year-old Marvin Ailon-Mendoza, an illegal immigrant who entered the United States as an Unaccompanied Alien Child (UAC) via the U.S.-Mexico border, was arrested and charged with raping an 82-year-old woman. According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, in addition to being in the country illegally, Ailon-Mendoza has prior convictions. In this specific incident, Ailon-Mendoza reportedly broke into the senior living facility and raped the elderly woman.A federal source who spoke to a local media outlet confirmed that Ailon-Mendoza was an illegal immigrant in the U.S. and first entered as a UAC. Prior to this arrest, he had been arrested three other times in Martin County. As an adult, Ailon-Mendoza was arrested for exposing himself at a park in Stuart where children were present. According to the arrest report, a woman called 911 to report a man on a bicycle masturbating in plain view at Shepard’s Park.
The woman who called 911 was able to identify Ailon-Mendoza as the man in the park. Deputies also found marijuana and a pipe in his backpack. He spent nearly a year in jail for that crime. According to records published in local media, Ailon-Mendoza was arrested as a juvenile with grand theft and battery.
Even though he spent almost a year in jail for the public masturbation conviction, Martin County law enforcement said that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency did not take him into custody when he was set for release despite their referring him the agency. Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said that ICE dropped the ball. He said that his office routinely notifies ICE when they have a foreign national in their custody. Snyder said:
“We use the term ‘the immigration system is broken.’ A broken immigration system in furs that there is a system. It does not appear to us and local law enforcement at least if there’s any system that the federal government has any idea what they are doing.” During a recent news conference, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) said in a statement:
“I think what has been going on is a big tragedy. There was not a crisis on January 20th on that border. Not to say everything was resolved, but the policies were working and those were all thrown out for political or ideological reasons and the result has been what we have been dealing with now.” Ailon-Mendoza was arrested about a week after the incident at the senior living facility. The victim told investigators a masked assailant woke her up around 3 a.m. and sexually battered her. Ailon-Mendoza faces three charges.
Those charges include sexual battery by great force, burglary of a dwelling with assault or battery while masked, and false imprisonment while masked. The judge set bond at $200,000 for the sexual battery charge, $200,000 for the burglary charge, and $120,000 for the false imprisonment charge.
Authorities confirmed that Ailon-Mendoza had four previous arrests, three of them being felonies, but was never convicted. According to Snyder, Ailon-Mendoza was armed with a knife and used some sort of “binding material” to tie the elderly woman up. He and the woman did not know each other at all before the assault. The woman told deputies she locked the door that night, so it’s unclear how he broke it. Snyder says neighbors of Ailon-Mendoza was scared to the point where some people were buying double locks. Snyder said: “A frightened community can rest more peacefully tonight. This offender is behind bars.” Snyder also added that there could be more victims. He said: “Crimes like these trend to be repetitive and turn out to be serial offenses. We have every reason to be suspicious this wasn’t his first time.”
We have to constantly hear how triggered libz get when Trump says illegal aliens are rapists. And that Trump assumes some of them are good people. The truth comes out, and it always gets in the way of a...

We deport all illegal aliens?
Deport all of them.
Your lib legerdemain doesn't work because it's specious, and non sequiter.
Not only that, I have posted countless examples of illegals committing additional crimes.
Our prisons and jails are grossly over represented by illegals, and studies show that illegals commit more crimes per capita.
A conservative would know all of this reflexively. But you're not, so you instinctively react with lib pablum.
Illegals are also a health threat, especially in these times of the Kung flu. The fact that you libz refuse to acknowledge that after all your mask, quarantine, and travel ban histrionics, prove it wasn't about health at all.
It was about power.
Illegals power the sex slave and human cargo industries. And here we thought you libz opposed slavery.
Illegals enable ever larger shipments of illegal drugs.
The illegals who make it through become a burden to health care and schools, and they depress wages for those on the lower rungs of the economy, most usually blacks.
And here we thought you libz cared about blacks.
If you want to stop helping us to death, you can oppose open borders, and bring the flow of illegal aliens to a complete halt.
But you won't, because you care more about your power and control which you use to enrich yourselves, like the Biden's are doing.
Though The possibility still exists that you can parlay it all into a...

"We deport all illegal aliens?" Not necessarily. If that person has lived peaceful law abiding life and worked? Why go to the expense? |

No one wants to root those people out.
But how many of them are there? The best way to deport illegals is by attrition.
Driving without a license, or insurance, or any other traffic related offenses, deport them.
Any further crime, deport them.
Any financial misconduct, deport them.
Any id, work Authorisation, visa, fraud, or documentation troubles, deport them.
Any attempt to vote, deport them.
Communicable disease, deport them.
In about 6-7 years you could get rid of all of them with that approach.
And you wouldn't have to root them out.
You could let them self identify.
And if it makes a lib like you happy, the ones that manage to keep their noses clean can stay on good behavior.
But what would a lib know about good behavior? All a lib knows that involves anything other than bad is a...

Trump violated the emoluments clause. He directed as much government business as he could to his own facilities and personally profited from that. Often, the costs weren't competitive with other venues. |

"Warped lib politician has leveled those charges.'
As usual, you are wrong, frog boy. A US Senator did "level those charges." It's noteworthy that the charges were not actually heard to determine guilt or innocence, the court held that there was a lack of standing.
Open you mouth, close your eyes and swallow whatever The Dear Leader throws at you.
Trump is a serial rapist, liar, cheat and a thief.
Activists projected the words “Emoluments Welcome” on the facade of the Trump International Hotel in Washington in May 2017.
Washington – As he prepared to grill the latest candidate for appointment to the Supreme Court, that court dealt Sen. Richard Blumenthal a defeat Tuesday by declining to hear a case he brought alleging that President Donald Trump violated the Constitution’s Emoluments Clause, which prohibits self-dealing by federal office holders.
The Connecticut Democrat and 200 of his fellow Democratic colleagues had asked the court to review a February ruling by a three-judge panel of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals that the lawmakers lacked the legal standing to sue the president.
The circuit court judges decided the lawmakers had no standing to sue because they did not represent a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives or the U.S. Senate. The judges only ruled on the issue of whether the members had standing. They did not rule on a district court’s earlier finding that the Democrats had a cause of action and a claim against the president.
The non-profit Constitutional Accountability Center represented the lawmakers in Blumenthal v Trump.
The lawmakers maintained that Trump’s continued ownership of companies engaged in business with foreign governments amounted to accepting “unauthorized financial benefits from foreign states” in violation of the constitutional restriction.
The Emoluments Clause says “no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”
The high court’s denial to hear the appeal means that the Democrats’ petition failed to garner support from at least four justices on the Supreme Court, which, with the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg last month, now has only eight justices. Trump’s candidate to replace Ginsburg, Judge Amy Coney Barrett, is undergoing several days of confirmation hearings in the Senate Judiciary Committee this week.
The Supreme Court’s decision to reject the appeal leaves in place the lower court ruling.
Blumenthal said he is “disappointed that we have been denied the opportunity to hold the president accountable for his violations of the constitutional prohibition against taking foreign payments and gifts without the consent of Congress.”
“The American people are learning more every day about President Trump’s corruption, including recent reporting on more than $70 million in income from foreign sources, in addition to the violations we described in our complaint,” Blumenthal said. “My hope is that President Trump is held accountable by the court of public opinion – if not courts of law — and that Congress will act in the future to protect against this kind of lawbreaking.”
Blumenthal’s emoluments case was one of three ongoing constitutional challenges to Trump and his business, alleging that the president is violating the anti-corruption emoluments clause. Those cases, one brought by an advocacy group and the other by the Democratic attorneys general of Maryland and the District of Columbia, are still making their way through the courts.
The lawsuits are likely to be dismissed as moot if Trump loses his re-election bid on Nov. 3.

I forgot about Blumenthal.
More corrosive and rabid than you, if that is even possible.
I stand corrected.
And of course the court found Trump guilty by pointing out Blumenthal had no standing.
You associate standing with guilt better than any McCarthyist ever.
Let's face it, lib.
Emoluments didn't work when Trump was in office, it sure as heck won't work now.
Some estimates put Trump losses at the billion level, not to mention he donated his whole salary to worthy causes.
You obsession with Trump and emoluments will get you nowhere, lib.
But please, do pursue such avenues with all possible enthusiasm, lib.
Put everything you have into it, lib.

"You associate standing with guilt better than any McCarthyist ever."
Uh, no. I pointed the lack of standing dismissal to argue that the lack of conviction has nothing to do with the evidence of Trump's guilt or innocence. As I've often said, Trump is a crook, a cheat, a thief, a serial liar and a serial sexual predator.
That's the example you wish to promote, emulate. |
