Zoning is clear and obvious government control of your property.

Some places the zoning is done by Realtors.  But most states it is done by the local government elected officials that meet with the public.  Almost always the decision for type of zoning or zoning change goes with the public.  In Idaho some zoning issues have been put on the ballot.

If you don't live in a place that the government is for the people and by the people, I feel sorry for you.

The main point is that it appears you must feel it is the governments job is to take care of you.  Making you more of a Marxist than I figured.

Let me read it again.  Still didn't see were it says it is the governments job.  

All it does is ask why the democrats are discuss removing single family zoning.

Looks like you aren't as smart as a third grader, he says the sentence does not imply in any way that it is the governments job to decide about zoning, it only asks "why to discuss removing single family zoning".  But I did explain to him that the federal government has NO authority to deal in local zoning. Then he understood the whole thing. He smiled and said, "grandpa, I see why you asked, because if they don't have authority, passing a law would give them more power and you are just making fun of people that aren't too smart to know that.
