Old guy, serious question.

When you post something you find online, a claim, a number etc, do you fact check it first? Do you go onto google, type the claim, then check corroborating data to make sure it's actually true?

If you do do that, and most sites contradict the claim, how do you handle it then?

I do look into issues and try to read opposite positions.

I like local new sources from the area the issue is from.  Reading local news from New Jersey, I found out just how horrible your state is.

Also like foreign source, normally New Zeland and Australia!  (They hate Biden, but appear truthful).

I find that I can read a report about issues from both view points and data from both sides.  They always differ in some way!  I will try and verify numbers from official sites, but that has become easy.  The left always misdirects the numbers to their point of view.  But if numbers aren't good, the right just leaves them out, they don't twist bad numbers to look good.

I also look for outrageous bias.  I have read hundreds of "NO FRAUD FOUND" story's only to find out the court case was not even about fraud, but some kind of process.  You have even linked to them.  Outrageous bias come mostly from the left, but I discount the story even if from the right.

Question to you.

How do you check voting information when the news repeats what the commissioner says, and no one checks or investigates what the commissioner says?

If there is anything in question, I first look at the allegations by the other side. Are their allegations true. 

Here is a glaring example, something that is still being propagated (and I checked this one multiple times to be fair to Trump's side)

Trump stated multiple times that the ballots in Philadelphia were being counted in secrecy behind closed doors and there was a court case to allow Trump's team to see what was going on.

The court case was to allow them to get closer to the counting, not about allowing them in. 

I also witnessed the Trump Campaign repeating claims that had already been debunked. 

But more than that, when Trump started with the pretext "If we lose this election, it's because it was rigged", he already played his hand. Those words made it clear that he wouldn't accept the outcome no matter what it was. It partially invalidated any attempt he would make to argue his point. Combine that with every judge throwing every case out of court, Trump repeating claims that were debunked, and mutiple recounts and audits turning up nothing, I think it's safe to say that I feel comfortable Biden legitimately beat Trump in every state.

You find out how "Horrible" our state is because our world view is different than yours, Old Guy. New Jersey, while not sporting the best covid numbers in the beginning, turned things around quickly and has become the model for low number of covid cases. Republicans and Democrats alike hailed the efforts of our Governor, a democrat, to take reasonable but effective precautions. 

I don't take papers like "The Washington Examiner" or "Brietbart" seriously. I do like AP news and some middle of the ground sources and also like when I can "hear" and 'see' people talk.

Finally, i do check sources to make sure there is coroboration. There are quite a few times I decided not to post something because there was conflicting information and I wasn't certain it was verifiably true. 

I believe your glaring example has some major flaws.  That case is still waiting to go to the Supreme Court, not finished yet.   The ballot counting was done behind closed doors.  Over 200 signed affidavits claim that.  I personal saw on TV people putting paper over windows, so nobody could see in.   I heard the interview on TV of the poll watchers that were kicked out from viewing.  Sure the court ruled on this, the ruling was so restrictive viewers could still not view.  Do you realize just how biased the PA Court is.  PA Supreme Court even ruled that signatures on mail in ballots did not have to matching signatures.    So the PA Suprime Court basically supported the fraud in order to win an election. None of their rulings are worth the paper written on.   Bladeslap sometimes you need to understand who and how one sided they are when making a ruling.

you say the courts looked at issues and made rulings against Trump.  I say the courts basically ignored any and all evidence and made rulings.  Look at his example.  I have pointed this out before, no one on the left has responded  to this.  23 states joined in to sue 5 states for NOT following the constitution.  These 23 states were correct, you even know they were.  But the Supreme Court ruled no merit in the case.  What the shit is that, no merit to sue other states over compliance to the constitution, over an issue that effects your states.  Now tell me is everyone in DC this corrupt?  Now tell me why 23 states should even give a shit about what the federal government says or even wants.

The most glaring thing about this election is the actions from the left.  They have resisted ever attemp to find answers to every issue.  Tell me why?  It would appear if they joined in to find the truth this would have been over a long time ago.  But NO they will let this country fall apart before they will spend any effort to find the truth.

He's got every reason to assert fraud in an election and no reason whatsoever not to lie about. I mean, other than asserting a total lie for perceived political advantage. He's a sociopath, true/false and good/bad have no meaning to him.  It's only what works for him right now, in his opinion.

Old guy is incapable of understanding that Trump is a sociopath. He nominated conservative judges to the SCOTUS, so he must be a good guy. Plus, Trump said it was a "Fraud" even though every single court flat out rejected any legal argument.

I just hope, in this lifetime, you understand that Trump legitimately LOST this election. Every judge, including conservatives appointed by him, threw the cases out for lack of merit. The supreme court even refused to hear his nonsense, many of the judges picked by him.
