FOX News has been polled as the most reliable news source.

So I guess they are OK to link too.

A lot of us are tired of both you and obsy making assertions without backing them up.

You could be just pulling things out of your read ...

Two major issues with your statement

1) You are the one who said you don't believe polls...but now it's convenient for you to?

2) A poll about honesty? That's like polling people to ask them whether they think they're smart. Over 70% of the population believe they are above average intelligence

A poll is not going to determine if a news agency is honest

How many reporters left fox news because of their dishonesty?

Fact checkers have consistently stated that FOX news is among the least honest out there

So, you want to use your polls and I want to use fact checkers - I think my way is a bit more scientific.

Some of you have even stated "Fox is the most popular and most watch news station" ... Does that somehow make them better?

The reversal of fortune was most apparent on Inauguration Day, where CNN was No. 1 among news competitors from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST with 7.7 million viewers, and Fox finished last among news networks with 2.2 million. (When Trump was inaugurated in 2017, Fox topped the rankings with 8.8 million, while CNN straggled in at No. 5 (2.6 million), ahead of only MSNBC.

How does the change the equation? CNN moved to the number one spot. Does that make them more "honest"? No, it doesn't....more people decided to watch them.

But at the same time, things change at at instant:

In the key demo of adults 25-54—the demographic most valued by advertisers—Fox finished first with an average audience of 420,000 viewers. CNN was second (148,000 viewers) and MSNBC (140,000 viewers).

Overall, the cable news networks saw ratings drop significantly from the same month one year ago, as the coronavirus pandemic coincided with the presidential election, driving heavy viewership. CNN experienced the most dramatic decline, dropping 77 percent from one year ago in prime, followed by MSNBC (down 59 percent) and Fox News (down 35 percent).

So, if you're trying to make a point to make yourself feel better, I hope you made yourself better. You didnt' sway anybody on here, so morseo, trying to understand what your intent is, Old Guy?

First of all, I just asked the question.

Then you come up with a big bunch of Bull Shit.

The main stream news you are referring to have lied to us for over 5 years now, you can't possibly think they are reliable.

Your fact checkers are in the same boat, in court now,  some have admitted to just using opinions.

when are you going to recognize that we have a free press, and they can not be held accountable for false information, so they lie!  You are just gullible, and you just like certain ones, such a fool.

Your attempt to limit sources to only the ones you like, puts you right into actions against or great Constitution, Bill of rights and amendments.

But it is you site, so make a list that is acceptable to you !  if not STOP the Bull shit!

Here we go, another emotional outburst...

Are you saying Fox news is honest and CNN is not?

Maybe they both are honest most of the time and stretch the truth a little?

Maybe you don't like the fact-checkers because they reveal things to you that you don't want to hear or see?

Old guy, the way you operate is this: If a source of information is in conflict with your world view, they are eitehr biased or lying ...

Ever think maybe you're just plain wrong and the rest of the people are correct?

Now, I will admit something - When I read your message the second time, I realized I didn't read the second part of the message "Is it okay to link to it" - That's on me ... not you ...

That said, I'm okay sayin I'm human and can make mistakes as well. Had a pretty rough morning here and maybe I took it out a little bit more on you, but everything I said was 100% accurate... Just was a littel direct with you is all

:)

I think it's more like you are tired of being asked questions that you simply can't answer honestly.

So now you're directing your hatred towards FOX news.

Let's talk about how the ratings have plummeted for CNN, MSNBC, THe Washington Post and every other liberal sh!t show out there.

Pardon my french

You seemed to think that every source you use is legit.

How do you become so smart?

It's no wonder I think the way I do. I forgot the golden rule............ask Bladeslap.

You have the most uncanny ability of looking unbiased at both sides of any story, event, or catastrophy (aka Biden) and coming out with the most intelligent interpretation with mind numbing accuracy.

Would you be so kind as to post your picture so I can make a copy and put it on my desk?

Merry Christmas to you and your family

Explain in that message where there is "Hatred" ... Let's see if you even understand what that is.

I think this is your wounded ego and inability to look honesty at yourself.

You are the personification of Hatred, in every message.

When I told you that I feel hatred from you nonstop, then you turn around and take off with that accusing everybody else of that.

You're very predictable.

With the way that you talk about anybody who does not like Trump, you use vile words, you describe them in a the most hateful dispicable manner possible. That is pure hatred.

It's one of the reasons I had to ask you to take a breather many months back. I was tired of seeing your hatred spewed all over, the way you talk about Biden.

Obsy, whether you like it or not, you spew hatred on this forum left and right.

Me not agreeing with Fox is Not Hatred. That's your defense mechanisms kicking in and not admitting to yourself what you have become and how you come off to people.

You accuse me of hatred at almost every turn.

I have accused you of hatred as well.

So my question to you is how is it that you decide who is correct here???

Does that make sense?

You speak of the definition of hatred. What exactly would you call your daily onslaught of misinformation about Trump?

Just to remind you, trimp IS NOT president.

You remember when you accuse me of attacking Hitlery all the time.

Well gee, your Trump attacks look...................exactly the same.

And then we get into another realm owned by you libs.................HYPOCRISY.

My point here is that the crime is in the eyes of the accuser.

I believe Fox is a legitimate news source, but that's not what has been posted recently, it's the weird never heard of before type of websites that are from the Right Wing Extremist point of view.

If your wild claims had any truth to them Fox would be reporting it, they aren't. Can you imagine what Trucker and Insanity would do if they could run with a story like the crap you two have been posting? They would get Wood, that's what!

So post your "80%" story from Fox and I'll read it, but I won't waste any time on stupid Extreme Right websites.

History

Fox News is an American basic cable and satellite news channel founded in 1996 by Rupert Murdoch. The Fox Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of 21st Century Fox, owns Fox News. FNC is available in 90 million homes, and it operates the Fox Business Network and Fox News Radio. Fox also owns the National Geographic Channel. Fox News broadcasts from New York, NY.

Roger Ailes is the founding CEO. Roger Ailes resigned in 2016 after many accusations of sexual harassment. Jay Wallace became president of the network, and Suzanne Scott, the CEO of FNC, as of May 2018. She will report to Rupert Murdoch and his son Lachlan Murdoch. Lachlan Murdoch is the executive chairman and co-chairman of News Corp and 21st Century Fox (FOXA). On May 7, 2018, Comcast announced a potential bid, making a $65 billion cash offer challenging Disney’s offer for Fox.

In October 2018, Fox News added to their terms of use “Company furnishes the Company Sites and the Company Services for your personal enjoyment and entertainment.” This has led some to declare that Fox News is now an entertainment company and does not have to uphold journalistic standards. This is not true.

On 6/13/2020, Fox News ran digitally altered images in coverage of Seattle’s protests, Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone.

On 12/12/2021 – 18-year veteran journalist, Chris Wallace resigned from Fox News and joined CNN+.

On 12/13/2021 – It was revealed that several Fox TV personalities texted Trump Chief of staff Mark Meadows to encourage Trump to stop the Capitol Riot, which contradicted their reporting later that evening that Antifa was involved in a false flag.

Funded by / Ownership

Rupert Murdoch is the owner and a board member of News Corp 21st Century Fox. According to Reuters, James Murdoch (son) is chief executive of 21st Century Fox and recently left in May 2018. Lachlan (the other son of Murdoch) and Rupert Murdoch will serve as the new Fox co-chairman. Revenue analysis can be found at Investopedia and income reports here.

Fox News Bias

According to a Pew Research Center survey, “Fox News was the main source for 40% of Trump voters” during the 2016 election. Further, another Pew Survey indicates, “When it comes to choosing a media source for political news, conservatives orient strongly around Fox News. Nearly half of consistent conservatives (47%) name it as their main source for government and political news.”

Fox News typically looks at the issues from a conservative perspective. Also, it has several on-air personalities that are strong supporters of Trump, such as Sean HannityTucker CarlsonLaura Ingraham, and Dan Bongino; thus, during the Trump Presidency, FNC typically skewed conservative as there was less criticism of Trump.

In review, FNC publishes stories with emotionally loaded headlines such as “’They Wanted It to Blow Up’: Limbaugh Says Success of Trump-Kim Summit Caught Media Off Guard” and “Tucker: 2016 Russia Collusion ‘Witch Hunt’ Now Extends to Jill Stein.” When it comes to sourcing, they typically utilize pro-Trump pundits such as Rush Limbaugh, who has an abysmal record with fact-checkers and credible sources such as the Wall Street Journal. Fox News is also known to publish right-wing conspiracy theories, although they retracted the story after being sued. FNC has also been deemed the least accurate cable news source, according to Politifact.
