Because of the White House lack of being able to do anything successfull, in fact the incompetence of the whole federal government there is now a shortage of antibody treatment for Covid.
And tthe lefties that run New York have prioritized what is available for non-white people!
Now I want you to think about that! "The goverment picking who gets treatment and who does not, not by need but by color of your skin"!
And you think single payer heathcare would be a good thing.
We have said over and over that single payer does not and never has treated patients fairly. The only way to hold down costs is to ration heathcare. This is a prime example of lack of service, so the treatment is prioritized, "NOT TO THE NEEDY", but to the flavor of the day.
Who is the flavor of the day in the future, will sindle payer healthcare ration care by age, drinker, smoker, weight, color, sex, mental abilities or employment type. And you support that!
This is just one more example of just how f**ked up the democrats have become!

What a coincidence they show up after the moderator gets pissed and takes his ball home.
Gee, they are true students of the liberal faith, aren't they?
Their postings have become nothing but hate and divisive. Very junvenile but expected as they are liberals.
We must perservere once again old guy getting past their adolescent behavior.
They are projecting more than ever. I keep coming back because it is entertainment for me, as I am always astounded how low people are willing to go whe nhatred rules their very existence.
Keep up the good work my friend. They will see the light at the end of the tunnel soon enough. I truly believe they see it now. It's just the hatred keeping them among the living for now.
Let's pray this year will bring us satisfaction

"Rationing", That's exactly what they are doing with antibody treatment you're bitching about. The only way to get health care costs under control is to make sure that everyone has free and equal access to it. Health care shouldn't be a luxury available only to those who can afford to pay for it, it should be a basic human right for all people.
"Color of your skin" or "How much money you have in your pocket", what's the difference it's still rationing and it's still wrong. |

At least a response that contains so kind of mental process, forming a idea, even if I disagree!
Jett what makes you think the goverment can do it cheaper, they have over 200 years of experience of wasting money, not being on time and supplying services you didn't need in the first place. The goverment is well know to be the most expensive way to do anything.
just like the rest of the world that has single payer heathcare, it will be rationed.
Just like NY is going to ration antibodies for Covid treatment.
in the US heathcare is not rationed by how much money you have, you can't be turned away for lack of payment.
But, Today in NY rationing is doing done by the state! It is wrong and you should be embarrassed to be a democratic. |

I didn't say that, you start with programs like Massachusetts and Hawaii have where a combination of individual mandates, employer contribution, and health insurance responsibility are required. That gets you these kinds of results, look at who has the most access to health care and who has the most people covered...
Now you've got the majority of people covered, the remaining less than 5% becomes a manageable proposition. That's where you need a new and improved ACA to cover those remaining people, it has to take advantage of every tool available to provide quality care plans that are affordable, buying across state lines, etc.
That will leave you with 1-2 percent of folks who are destitute, very old etc. These people will have to be subsidized by federal and state programs, but if you do everything else you're talking about a relatively small number of people and a manageable cost. These people are being subsidized already but in the wrong way, they use hospital emergency rooms as doctor's offices at a ridiculous cost. They should have a subsidized health care plan and go to an HMO like everyone else.
I'm not talking about a government take over of the American health care system, I'm talking keeping our current system and improving it. And getting the entire population on high quality affordable health care plans.
It can be done, as I mentioned several states have already taken this approach and have outstanding results to show for it.

It is also unreasonable to consider care using the number of people covered.
you can cover 100% like Canada, but when some services are not available it is not real heathcare, is it.
what good is heathcare coverage if you still need to go to the states to gat the operation?
My point is to get the same care we have now with single payer it will have to be rationed. Counties all over the world using single payer heathcare ration the car, why would you want that?

Everyone in Canada is covered. Do you think thier system is the way to go?
Are you saying that working people should have the exact same healthcare as let's say, illegal aliens?
And explain why politicians have their own healthcare system.
If what they push is so good for American citizens, why are they themselves not on it?
Pelosi should have the same coverage as you and me. Wouldn't you agree?
So what exactly is the answer here? |

Is to let free enterprise do it. we all should have learned in school that there is no system that produces results like free enterprise. Get the federal government out of the picture, they have no business controling our heathcare, if anything it is a state issue.
If you want the best heathcare, then let the market place produce the goods and services at the greatest efficiency and lowest prices, it's called free enterprise!

I didn't say anything about Canada, I talked about Massachusetts and Hawaii. I think we should enact programs at the state level like they have done because they have been proven to get the majority of their citizens quality health care. If you do that it severely shrinks the problem, you go from an average of 10-12 percent uninsured to 2-3 percent. You solve 3/4 of your problem right there and with no Fed involvement.
No, I don't think Canada's system is the way to go.
I think there must be a base level of coverage for all, those who desire additional coverage can buy it if they wish. The base level coverage wouldn't get you a boob enhancement, but you could buy a higher level plan that would.
I have no idea why congress gets their own health care plan, but I' totally against it. All Americans should have access to the same standard of care.
Yes sir, Pelosi should have the exact same base coverage as you and I and if she wants anything above that she should pay for it out of her own pocket.
I explained in my previous post how I think we should do it, and it's not a Federal take over of the health care system.
I think free enterprise is a great thing, and it works for almost everything, but it doesn't work for health care. That's the way we do it now and we have 10-12 percent of Americans with no health coverage using emergency rooms as doctor's offices at an outrageous cost that all of us who do maintain health care coverage pay for. |

You get bashed with a sudden overload, you eliminate those who will recover without your aid; those most likely to need your aid to survive; and lastly those who aren't going to make it anyhow.
I don't know of any difference in severity, mortality based on ethnicity, but that doesn't mean there isn't some rational basis in the triage process.
I believe economic status does bear on mortality and severity; and that does have and ethnicity factor. The average "white American families" as whole have 6-10 times the net worth of 'black American families'.
Sputter and spit that America isn't a racist culture but the data are the data. |

"And you think single payer heathcare would be a good thing.
"We have said over and over that single payer does not and never has treated patients fairly. The only way to hold down costs is to ration heathcare. This is a prime example of lack of service, so the treatment is prioritized, "NOT TO THE NEEDY", but to the flavor of the day."
We already have single payer healthcare. Who covers the unpaid bills at hospitals? Tax-payers, to keep the hospital open. The law requires healthcare providers treat anybody on the property regardless of ability to pay- EMTALA.
If you have health insurance, your medical care is rationed by the insurance company. The doctor recommends X, Y or Z, but it's not unusual for that insurance company to refuse authorization. Quoting Handel (Bill Handel, "Handel on the Law") "Insurance companies aren't in the business to pay claims. They're in the business to deny all the claims they can." You either fight the insurance compay to authorize the recommended care or pay for it yourself.
Do I think 'single payer health insurance' would be a good thing? No, I think a financial responsibility law is the solution. One can model these on state automobile self insurance laws. If one doesn't have sufficient assets or you don't want to pledge them to healthcare liabilities, then you should be required to buy health insurance to protect taxpayers from your healthcare liabilities. Like it or not, you will require healthcare at some point in your life. The unplanned treatments tend to be the most expensive.
