He said I "Lied" about what Mazars publicly said -

Hmm, I pasted their public statement - Here is the paraphrase and then the actual letter which is publicly available:

In a Feb. 9 letter from Mazars Group General Counsel William J. Kelly to Trump Organization Chief Legal Officer Alan Garten, the auditing firm said its work from 2011 to 2020 "should not be relied upon."

"We write to advise that the Statements of Financial Condition for Donald J. Trump for the years ending June 30, 2011 — June 30, 2020, should no longer be relied upon and you should inform any recipients thereof who are currently relying upon one or more of those documents that those documents should not be relied upon," Kelly wrote in a letter released Monday by James.

Kelly said "this conclusion based, in part, upon the filings made by" James' office and "our own investigation, and information received from internal and external sources."

Why would Mazars say "We have no found material evidence" ...

They were their firm. If they prepared it, adn did not ask for accompanying documention, then they are liable as well. So, they are trying to absolve themselves of liability with other lenders and institutions who may have used their financial statements as a basis for loans.

They cannot and will not put in a public statement "Our financial statemetns are wrong", but based on their own internal investigation and other publicly available information, it's best not to rely on their statements

Wonder why they said that?

Word for word from the document.

"while we have not concluded that the various financial statement, as a whole, contain material discrepancies "

That statment does not claim Trump lied, like you did.  No place in the filling does it say Trump lied, no place.

It says they know of NO material discrepancies.

You are the one that lies!

End of this, it is stupid on my part to continue this ridiculous discussion.  You just lie!

Explain why Mazars would say "The accounting firm Mazars USA said a decade's worth of financial statements from the Trump Organization can no longer be viewed as reliable"

<strong>What would lead them to publicly say the financial statements put out can NO LONGER BE VIEWED AS RELIABLE ...

Do you think you might be projecting a bit Old guy? Just a tad bit?

Do you really use your head for more than holding a hat?

1.  I am sure that Mazars is tired of paying for lawyers over such ridiculous stuff, surly they want out and they want what ever protection they can get.

2.  They have been under investigation for over two years by this current attorney,  They have not discovered anything illegal.  After all of this investigation by this time if there was something illegal they should have found it.  They have tax papers to look at, not rocket science.  Must not be anything.  Again, Mazars must be just tired of this ridiculous stuff.

3.  The investigation is now down to the values of property,  how stupid.  The true value is what a qualified, educated buyer will pay, the rest of it will all be from appraisal.  That is just a educated guess.  If there are bank loans, there are appraisal, if there are net worth statement there could be appraisals.  Any way you look at it, it is a estimate, good luck charging Trump on that.  This is just a waste of time and money.

4.  Making a disclaimer does releave them of some reliably, disclaimer are a natural part of a accountants life.

Last post on this subject, you just lie!

Mazars warned lenders and other institutions not to rely on any financial statements for the past 10 years. You are focussing on one sentence to explain yourself "While we have not concluded that the various financial statements, as a whole, contain material discrepancies" ...

So what does that mean? "We have not concluded" ... It's still an ongoing investigation both by the government and by their own internal teams. there is no "conclusion yet" ... about anything EXCEPT that  their own investigation HAS concluded that 10 years of statements should NOT Be relied upon by anybody...so they know somethign is wrong

What are they doing this? They are covering their asses because they do know that there is erroneous information in those statements...but they have not reached a conclusion yet on what is wrong and are waiting both for their own internal investigation and additional information to come out from the courts so that they can recocile on what is right and wrong.

IN other words, Mazars does not have the exact data YET to prove that there are material discrepancies, but they do know enough now to know that there are some major issues...That's what the statement is sayin

This is basic human language Old guy.

If you can attempt to look at this unemotionally, you'll see that this is potentially a bigger deal than you realize.

when you apply for a loan with a bank and lie about the value of your properties (as an example, saying you have a 20,000 square foot apartment to put up as collateral, when in fact you only have a 3,000 foot, that's fraud.

As it stands now, they are looking to terminate the lease with him at the DC Post office hotel that he owns because part of the securing and maintaining the lease dealt with

This is pretty cut and dry.

Mazzars does not have the exact data to pinpoint the discrpancies, but they have enough data to know that their statements are wrong. It's a play on words and OG is taking liberties in the wording of it meaning that a final conclusion has been reached that there is nothing wrong. That's not what the statement says. The statement is clear that the returns are wrong but they just don't know what yet because Mazzars has not received the data it needs yet. They are pointing to new sources of data they are receiving now that will eventually allow them to see how the financial statements should play out.

Yes, he did lie. Blatantly.

The Trump Tower triplex was claimed to be 30,000 square feet and worth $327 million — but Trump himself signed documents stating the property is about a third of that size, and the Trump CFO said the value was overstated by "give or take" $200 million

If you would have posted that Mazars said, there were no discrepancies they know of, but they recommend the data not be be trusted, then you would have told the truth.  But No you had to clam Mazars said Trump had lied.  Big difference.

What is sad is you can't look truthfully at the truth, you must blow it out of proportion, twist and turn the words to express the worst possible outcome, and if you have to lie to do it, that's OK

so, we know you lie to make your point.

We also know you do not respect the US Constitution, because you think illegal election votes in violation of that constitution should be counted.

And you think that after more than 4 years of investigation the NY Attorneys may have come up with property values incorrect, and you think that is a big deal.

i guess real issues like inflation, heathcare, immigration, spending, election integrity, and many other big issues the country is facing are no big deal compared to Trump.

It's unfortunate your emotions take over and you get so upset when trying to discuss anything. You often contradict yourself and ignore laws of reason and logic

To your point where I said I did not post what Mazars said, I actually shared the link of the files court document of exactly what Mazars said, You were so emotional about this that you missed that (That's strike one against you)

Number two, you have been wrong so many times about so many things and have never bothered to show an ounce of integrity to correct yourself. I don't know if it's ego or just ignorance

You are incapable of defending your points, so you just make things up, but then you accuse others of exactly what you do. Old guy, you project your own lack of character on others. It's clear and established and any sane person on here realizes that character flaw abiut you

Mazara statement makes it clear that trump more than likely gave false and misleading information to Mazars over the past 10 years, which is PRECISELY why Mazars said None of the financial statements should be relied upon. You're either just a very dishonest person or just plain naive if you can't figure out what's going on

Heres nail in the coffin Old Guy - Trump put his apartment as an asset as 30,000 square feet and overvalued it by over 200 million or so - The actual size was closer to 1/3rd the size of that. That is FRAUD.

You bright enough to understand that or are you going to continue to play dumb?

Did you are did you not post that Trump lied----yes you did!--- you posted a lie!

If you told the truth you would not have much to post.  I do not consider you that dumb, you have skill at making a lie sound like it is not a lie, twisting and turning words , and at making up crap.

In the post this reply is referring to there very little truth to your response.  To start with I am probably the most unemotional people you will ever meet, but because you think it may help you make your point, you lie about that.  Fact is I think you lie more than anyone I have ever talked to before in my life.

This site is just like before, a waste of time, responding to people that just make shit up!  Most of your post is madeup!

Then you clam that Trump overvalued a apartment.  He could have, but it does not always become against the law.  I have read in more than one place that Trump did overvalue his apartment, but none of those excluding you said what kind of document he did that on.  I know it is fraud if it is done on a loan, but I do not believe that would be the case.  Bank loans with real property required a appraisal.  So you are not telling the whole story.  What kind of document did he do that on?  Also in most cases of bank fraud, the bank that experienced the loss files the charges, not some overzealous attorney.  If some Bank is not behind this then I bet there was NO financial loss.

Donald Trump Claimed Apartment Was Three Times Its Actual Size To Increase Value: NY AG (newsweek.com)

He inflated the size of his apartment by Triple.

That is considered LYING. He commited fraud

This is not just "Overvaluing" in terms of price. This is outright LYING about the square footage.

He listed it as 30,000 square feet. The actual size is 10,900 feet. He did this to fraudently get loans.

What part of this is not making sense to you? His on CFO, testified that they overvalued Trump's 10,900 foot property by about 200 million dollars.

This is LYING Old Guy

You can stomp your feet all you want and make all the accustations that make you try to gloss over what's right in front of your face. Trump is in legal trouble because he lies...and he lies a lot! He rips people off, evades taxes, and commits fraud to get loans. That's why he's being forced to testify now.

I've told you once before and I'll tell you again. You backed the wrong horse. We threw you the life preserver a long time ago, but nothing has changed about you. You continue to bleive his lies and refuse to relinquish your ego that the guy is a thug and a crook.

You admit the crime and demand the exact circumstances... or your admission is false?

Trump claims to be a "very stable genius' who lost money for decades doibg what he bragged on- real estate. Zats koool, everybody has ups and downs in business  But, here's the thing- he, who has been in rwal estate for decades does't know how big or how valuable his apartment is? Crazy, stupid or a liar?

I have told this forum for years that trump is a tax, bsnk and insurance fraudster. Pick any one of the three, it fits this.

Former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg also told investigators that the value of the apartment was overstated by around $200 million, James' office said.

his own chief financial officer said the values were overstated.

those values have been used to secure loans, get tax benefits, among other things. That is called fraud

you asked where he misstated  the values? As far as we can tell now it was used for tax evasion and to secure loans. more information will be coming out so we can find out exactly where he lied about his assets

Notice how it days NY AG says "Trump Lied about valuatuons"?
