"BIDEN YOU ARE THE LEADER OF THE FREEWORLD, YOU BETTER RESPOND"

"Some of you think he is doing a good job, NO he is not.  Under Biden the world is in a crisis!"

First- I don't want any American boots on the ground for Ukraine. Period. That's a western European problem. Perhaps it is clear to Europe now that they have a Russian wolf in their neighborhood and they should have been putting more resources into defense/military. Trump was right about that.

Next, I believe the sanctions will affect the Russian people and their politics. Their economy was already parlous, has declined seriously, about 30% since the high in 2014.

The world is in crisis for several reasons but Biden is not responsible for most of it. Trump crashed America's economy, arguably the world's largest,  in 2020, remember? All the worlds economies are recovering from the Covid crisis.

He just got done with his speech, explaining how much he is doing, BS.

What he claimed he is sending is only 7% of what legislation has passed.

They passed a 13 billion bill, in his speech he is only sending 1 billion.

Let me tell you what a real world leader may do!

He could have stopped all of this if he had taken action during the troop build up Not waited for the invasion!

Stop reacting after the fact.

Stop following the free world.  Start leading the freeworld.

Stop telling Russia want you will not do.

Stop making decisions in public!

Stop useing Russian for anything!

Start making US a oil exporter again.

Kick Russia off the negotiations with Iran.  How stupid is it to allow Russia to negotiate along with Iran.

Try and kick Russia off of any and all committees in the UN.

Gharge Russia with War Crimes (NOW).   Biden, when asked cannot even admit there are War Crimes!

Give Ukraine the equipment they want!  Start with the Mig's.

Just a small list!  There is much more he could do, but much of it is to late.  He has lost any advantage he could have had by allowing Russia to push him around.  He has continuously shown weakness!

The rest of the freeworld has started to ignore Biden.  NATO has taken actions without discussing it with Biden, The rest of the freeworld knows Biden is a joke, Saudi would even return phone calls.

Lets go Brandon

You're a jingo. Likely an empty boot as well. America doesn't have all the answers and should not be 'the world's policeman'.

The sanctions are the appropriate response. Start slow and increase penalties until effective.

Moving troops to the border would have been provocative.

Russia is a permanent member of the UN Security Committee.

Why would Biden cite war crimes? Which have been investigated and documented? Ain't you one of those who declared the media was inaccurate, biased in their Trump reporting? But now they are founts of wisdom and facts. "If it bleeds, it leads" mean anything to you?

"Start making US a oil exporter again." Truly a nonsense response. And, as I have posted many times, our oil is a strategic asset that increases in value as other exporters sell their stocks.

Iran has your panties knotted, don't they? Increase commerce and political interactions will make enemies into active forces for the good of the world. Think Japan, Germany.

I agree that America should be able to supply Ukraine. But that, too, would be provocative if not an outright act of war.

Sanctions where short and applied after the issue became a issue.  Corrective action should have been taken before the dirty deeds.  What did it take 14 days of the invasion before Biden even sanctioned oil.

What the hell is wrong with a counter provocative move?

Russia is a permanent member of the UN Security Committee,  "WHAT THE F**K" After this should they be?

Biden would site war crimes "BECAUSE THERE ARE WAR CRIMES"

increasing oil production would reduce depending on Russian oil, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!!!  Russia selling oil, is like allowing Russia's invasion to be paid for.

How can we give Russia credit for anything.  It is unthinkable that we continue to negotiate with Russia over the nuclear issues with Iran.  Obvious we should have told then to  "go f**k yourselves "

You response appears you are on the side of your fellow useful idiots!

"What the hell is wrong with a counter provocative move?"

That's called 'escalation'. You want to go? send your son, brother, father and/or uncle to fight Europe's war?

"Russia is a permanent member of the UN Security Committee,  "WHAT THE F**K" After this should they be?"

Russia, in the form of the USSR, was a powerful partner in defeating Hitler. They killed 75% of the Germans who died in Hitler's war. They earned the permanent seat on the UNSC. Putin is a mad man, an imperialist.

Russian oil exports are 8% of the world's supply and 2% of America's oil consumption. BLM could release production from completed, capped wells almost instantly.

Again, I'll advance the proposition that we should buy foreign oil and preserve domestic reserves. Buying that 2% of American consumption from Russia does that and increases our influence in Russian politics.

Resorting to hyperbole proves you have nothing rational to argue: "Why don't you just go to Ukraine and kill women and children and skip over the middle man!"

First, an analogy which you'll recognize if you've ever had to deal with 3 year old kids. If that kid doesn't want to follow instructions, he pouts, throws tantrums and resists force and penalties.

If there is potential mutual gain, work out of the juvenile tantrum and communicate, advance mutual advantage alternatives to confrontation. Don't cut off your nose to spite your face.

Buying 2% of American oil is something we could avoid if necessary. Thousands of wells are capped, not producing in the Gulf of Mexico right now and I'm sure that is so in all the American proven reserves.

But that 2% is a quarter of Russia's oil exports, their main source of their currency reserves. That is a very effective lever if used correctly, diplomatically.

Forcing that 3 year old to your will is expensive. Forcing Putin to drop the political gain of the Ukranian invasion is so expensive that it will never happen, besides which Ukraine is much, much poorer than Russia. and will cost them much more than any gain in prestige.

Imposing sanctions and increasing directly the cost of his misadventure is effective negative feedback, discouraging further aggression. Putin is struggling to hold power, all this increases his issues.

"YOU MAKE ME SICK"  You're a jingo and an empty boot.

The three year old kid was an analogy for Putin's Russia. Confused you?

Not surprised at that, Trumpists are not used to facts or complex problems. The fantasies that Trump spouts are more your speed.

Problems with Russia are complex, difficult, not well suited to 2 dimensional thinking. There would have been, should have been a diplomatic relationship, a channel for communication with Russia beyond Trump being a fangirl for Trump. His admiration for brutal autocrat, you know: "he's a strong leader, savvy" and his invasion of Ukraine was "Genius!"

Your hyperbolic statements prove you do not have any rational thoughts on this issue. I'm guessing you're also a Marjorie Taylor-Green believer as well as a Trumpist? You know, Jewish space lasers causing wild fires and stuff.

Oh, you forgot the Russians attacking and raping orphanages, virgins and eating babies spit roasted on their bayonets.

Commercial interactions provide a forum for useful dialogue. Refusing to speak, interact with with an 'opponent' leads to wars. And I don't want American boots on the ground in Ukraine or Europeans in combat either. But- it's a European issue and it may involve NATO at some point, but lets hope sanctions work in a Russia that has enough economic issues already.
