Indiana GOP senator sparks outrage with claims the Supreme Court should never have legalized interracial marriage: Mike Braun says right to marry regardless of race should be a state issue

• Braun was asked if he was okay with the Supreme Court hypothetically overturning landmark rulings such as Loving vs. Virginia
• The ruling found that laws banning interracial marriage violated the 14th amendment
• Asked if he felt the same way about Griswold vs. Connecticut, a 1956 ruling that allowed married couples to use contraceptives, he reiterated his answer
• 'I am going to say they are not going to all make you happy within a given state. But they're better off having states manifest their point of view,' Braun said

I consider Jett that you draw a conclusion without even looking at the big picture. By all non basis reports, Braun missunderstood the question.  Braun though the question was about abortion being a state issue.

His answer to the question that he though was about leaving the issue of abortion to the states.  Was "Yes, if you are not wanting the Supreme Court to weight in on issues like that, you are not going to be able to have your cake and eat it too"

So your fake news has blow his respone totally into a lie.  Not one word from him about interracial marriage, or even race.  

The quick answer is they want to eliminate change and return to a past they sentimentalize and only remember the good things as typical. The bad things are generally viewd as separate, random event not likely to reoccur.
