What is the point of all of his bluster with Disney and the education system, it's to get him in the spotlight. We all know what his ambitions are and he is trying to appeal to the Extreme Right trump base.

Our education system has to teach children truth and reality not lies and deceit. At the appropriate age as determined by experts on the subject, children need to be taught that people are different, not everyone is the same. Some people are Gay, some people are Heterosexual, some people are Transgendered, etc. That's the reality of the world we live in.

It's also the right time and age to start children out on the right foot in accepting all people from all walks of life, so that as they grow up fewer will have hateful or wrongful impressions of their fellow man. All people are God's children, all people are equally important, and all people deserve respect.

Sure parents should have a say in their children's education, but at the end of the day you have to have a standardized educational program. It's impossible to please all parents there are simply too many opinions. The Extremists can home school their children if they wish.

Teach children truth and respect, otherwise they will learn it on the playground and they are likely to get it completely wrong...

 As a five year old with two sisters, later four, I certainly knew I was a boy and that girls were not boys.

I can't say when that fact became fixed in my mind, but as 5 year old I knew girls were somehow not boys.

But the, I'm not a liberal, I was raised by parents who stressed conventional mores. Your perception of liberalism is flawed from the start because you don't understand what conservatism is.

It is not conservative to violate respect for other people and their principles. Imposing your view as the only correct position is more attuned with the far left and far right extremism.

I just don't think this child sexuality thing amounts to more than a handful of kids in any school or district. Your "5 year old's" is a perfect example of you being a drama queen. The vast majority of kids are like Crow's childhood, completely normal. When I was a child I never even thought about stuff like that, I wanted to play football, get a dirt bike, etc. I never thought about being a girl. So for the few children who do, we accept them for who they are, none of us knows why they feel that way.

Oh, by the way Shark don't waste your time telling me about your "Red Wave", I truly don't care. I live in a bowl of blueberries and that's not changing in my lifetime.
