As I told you previously, I am making it a point to ask all of the candidates in my town that I can, the trump question. "Are you a donald trump supporter?"

The reason is because in my town the positions of City Council and the Mayor are non-partisan, so if you have no historical data on a person you have no idea if they are Democrats or Republicans, Conservatives or Liberals, etc. I could accidently vote for an Extreme Right Wing trumplican Cultist!

So I ask my question and that is my litmus test for the candidates. So far I've asked two people running for Mayor and two running for City Council and here's what I got.

Three of the four answered immediately without hesitation "No", but one of the male candidates for Mayor said "This isn't about donald trump", I said "I know that, it's about you, but that's how I can know if you are potentially someone who I could vote for". He then started talking about how the position is non-partisan, blah, blah, blah. I interrupted him and said "Thank you for your answer, I got it" and I walked away knowing that I would never vote for him.

So far so good, but I hope to catch a lot more candidates before election day!
