The big story about the 10 year old that was rapped and had to go to a different state to obtain a abortion, turns out to be a lie.

Biden and the news jumped all over this story, WHY?

It does "NO GOOD" to make up stories to support your issues.  Or maybe you should take a look before you get on the bandwagon.  Because the bandwagon you are on is going down hill.

Who do you trust?

It can't be the democrats because they lie to you on a daily basis.

It can't be the so called main stream news out let's, because they made the story up in the first place.

So who do you trust?

Of course rape and a abortion of a 10 year old is going to be controlled information.  Makes you question how some new sources even got any information about it.

Fox News has checked into it and found, NO INFORMATION.  Doctors, by law, must file a criminal report when medical care is given for chid abuse.  Rape of a 10 year old requires the doctor to file a criminal report, to the police.

 NO REPORT HAS BEEN FILED.

fake news!

This is why your logic is so flawed

First, teh fact they haven't found the girl doesnt mean she doesnt exist

Second, post an article so we can read it ...

It's like saying "Officer, a deer crossed the road, that's why I swerved and hit the guardrail" ... OFficer says "I don't see any deer" ...

Second, FOX news lies about everying. The 'stop the steal'...

So, you get zero points on this

The big story about the 10 year old that was rapped and had to go to a different state to obtain a abortion, turns out to be a lie.

It's a single-source uncorroborated story. That does not make it "a lie".  Prove that it was an intentional statement intended to deceive- that would make it a lie.

SNOPES:

Dozens of Snopes readers searched our site or contacted us wondering whether that had actually happened. To find out, we reached out to Dr. Caitlin Bernard, an obstetrician-gynecologist based in Indianapolis and who spoke to The Columbus Dispatch, about the headline-generating story. As of this writing, Bernard had not returned our request for an interview, and we had not been able to independently corroborate the abortion claim. If we receive additional information, will update this post.

Speaking to the Ohio newspaper, Bernard said she was contacted by a colleague in Ohio, a doctor who treats child-abuse victims, for help three days after the high court’s Roe decision. The doctor told Bernard, according to her retelling, that a 10-year-old patient was six weeks pregnant, needed an abortion, and was unable to terminate the pregnancy in Ohio due to the state’s post-Roe law.

According to the Dispatch, the child was able to travel to Indiana, and Bernard carried out the procedure under the state’s laws on abortion at the time.

Biden and the news jumped all over this story, WHY?

For the same reason Trump claimed to see Middle Easterners celebrating 9/11 on a roof top.

It does "NO GOOD" to make up stories to support your issues.  Or maybe you should take a look before you get on the bandwagon.  Because the bandwagon you are on is going down hill.

Yeah, "... the bandwagon you are on is going down hill." Trump, the incumbent POTUS lost 46.9% to 51.3% of the popular vote. To Joe Biden. Sounds like the "bandwagon" rolled right over the Trumpcamp.

Sexual Assault Remains Dramatically Underreported

If Dr. Christine Blasey Ford was sexually assaulted and didn’t report it, it would be all too common.

October 4, 2018

v class="page-info-header__right" data-swiftype-index="false">
v>

When Dr. Christine Blasey Ford came forward with sexual assault allegations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh, one of the first questions to emerge from the judge’s defenders was: If she was sexually assaulted 36 years ago, why not report it then?

Probably for the same reasons that nearly 80 percent of rapes and sexual assaults go unreported, according to a Justice Department analysis of violent crime in 2016. The reality is, it’s very common for sexual assault survivors — most frequently, women — to decline to report the offense to police. At the same time, false accusations of rape or sexual assault are rare. And that should inform how we weigh Dr. Ford’s allegations, as well as those of other survivors.

It may sound incredible that only around 23 percent of survivors report such crimes to police, but it’s true. And that number is in line with past reports: Surveys of 2014 and 2015 both put reporting rates for rape and sexual assault in the low 30s. (A history of low reporting rates is one reason the Brennan Center declines to analyze trends in sexual assault in our crime reports. And low reporting rates don’t detract from the broader conclusions to those reports, that crime and violent crime remain historically low.)

Rape and sexual assault are serious offenses. So why aren’t they reported? Survivors cite several reasons. Twenty percent, according to the DOJ report, worry about retaliation — not just from the perpetrator, but from society at large. Thirteen percent said they think the police would not do anything to help. Tragically, 8 percent said they didn’t think the rape or sexual assault was important enough to report.

Sexual assault survivors struggle with a wide range of emotions that make coming forward difficult: fear of revictimization, distortion of allegations, and generally not being believed. As psychotherapist Beverly Engel puts it, “victims are often too ashamed to come forward. Sexual assault is a very humiliating and dehumanizing act against someone.” Why do victims often blame themselves? Engel continues: “[A]ttached to that shame is a lot of self-blame [. . .] because in our culture, we tend to blame victims in general.”

For all these reasons, unreported assaults are all too common. Far less common, however, are false accusations of sexual assault or rape, hovering between 2 and 10 percent in the United States. You wouldn’t know that from Kavanaugh’s defenders, including the president, who have insinuated that the judge’s accusers may be lying. But statistically speaking, it is far more common for a survivor of sexual assault to decline to report it than for someone to make false accusations of assault.

Given these statistics, we should be doing everything in our power to remove societal and structural barriers that can prevent survivors from coming forward. Questioning Dr. Ford’s motives, and asking why she didn’t come forward earlier — as many have done — both run directly counter to that goal. And they may further discourage survivors from coming forward with their stories, especially if the allegations are against those in positions of power.

The set of statistics surrounding sexual assault tell a clear story. Sexual assault is much more common than we think, while false accusations are much rarer than some of Judge Kavanaugh’s more partisan defenders have suggested. When we confront allegations of assault, in politics and in culture, we should understand the realities that sexual assault survivors face when speaking out about their experiences.

1.  If a doctor suspects child abuse it is the law that it is reported.  Rape of a 10 year old is child abuse, it has to be reported, it wasn't.

2.  I order to get a abortion because of rape, the rape must be reported.

3. the attorney general has been interviewed and reported there has not been any report filed in regards to this rape and abortion.

4.  Your fact checker has already testified in court that what they do is just a opinion.  Not very reliable.

5.  Get over it, news time after time is proven fake.  This one is fake too.

Indiana Dr. Caitlin Bernard reported 10-year-old Ohio girl's abortion, records show

Tony Cook
Indianapolis Star

The Indiana physician who provided abortion services to a 10-year-old Ohio girl who was raped disclosed the abortion in a form filed with the Indiana Department of Health and the Department of Child Services, according to documents obtained by IndyStar through a public records request.

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita and some news outlets have called into question whether Dr. Caitlin Bernard, the Indianapolis OB-GYN who performed the procedure, properly reported the disturbing case, which has become a flashpoint in the national debate over abortion.

An attorney for Bernard said the doctor followed the law and made the appropriate disclosures. She said Bernard is considering legal action against those who have "smeared" her.

Rokita told Fox News on Wednesday that his office was investigating whether Bernard had failed to report the abortion and sexual abuse as required by Indiana law. His comments came one day after Ohio police arrested a 27-year-old man who they say admitted to raping the child.

“We're gathering the evidence as we speak, and we're going to fight this to the end, including looking at her licensure,” Rokita said. “If she failed to report it in Indiana, it's a crime for — to not report, to intentionally not report.”

Despite the newly disclosed form, Rokita said Thursday he plans to forge ahead with his investigation.

“As we stated, we are gathering evidence from multiple sources and agencies related to these allegations," he said in an emailed statement. "Our legal review of it remains open.”

The story of the young girl who traveled to Indiana for an abortion was first revealed by Bernard in an IndyStar story published earlier this month. The story went viral and quickly became a talking point for abortion rights supporters, including President Joe Biden. Abortion opponents and some news outlets, however, questioned the veracity of the story.

The announcement of criminal charges on Tuesday shifted the focus of abortion opponents away from questioning the story and onto whether or not Bernard had made the proper disclosures.

Indiana law requires health care providers to report abortions they perform to the Indiana Department of Health, including whether the patient indicated they were seeking an abortion as a result of being abused, coerced, harassed or trafficked. Failure to do so is a misdemeanor.

Bernard filed the required abortion disclosure, known as a "terminated pregnancy" form, on July 2, two days after she performed the girl's abortion, according to a copy of the form IndyStar received Thursday from the state health department. State law requires the forms to be filed within three days for patients under age 16.

(the next sentence is emphasised to reinforce the point made)

"The form shows Bernard indicated the girl was seeking an abortion as a result of being abused."

Kathleen Delaney, an attorney for Bernard, said in a statement that her client "took every appropriate and proper action in accordance with the law and both her medical and ethical training as a physician."

Indiana abortion law:Indiana special session on abortion, tax refund pushed back to end of July

"She followed all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations in this case, just as she does every day to provide the best possible care for her patients," Delaney said. "She has not violated any law, including patient privacy laws, and she has not been disciplined by her employer. We are considering legal action against those who have smeared my client, including Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita, and know that the facts will all come out in due time.”

Columbus, Ohio, police said they were made aware of the girl's rape on June 22 through a referral by Franklin County Children Services that was made by her mother. Bernard has said she was contacted about the abortion five days later on June 27.

The abortion took place on June 30, just six days after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The high court's decision allowed an Ohio law to go into effect restricting abortions after fetal cardiac activity is detected, which is typically around 6 weeks.

The form Bernard filed with the state shows the girl was 6 weeks pregnant at the time of her abortion.

The form indicates the doctor did not know the age of the "father." In such cases, doctors are required to enter an "approximate age," according to a person familiar with the electronic filing system. Bernard entered "17."

IndyStar obtained copies of all pregnancy termination forms submitted to the state health department from June 24, the day of the U.S. Supreme Court decision, to July 11, 2022. The 10-year-old victim is among seven patients younger than 18 who received abortion care in Indiana during the time period. She's also the youngest to receive care, and the only juvenile whose abortion was listed as the result of abuse, according to the documents.

All told, Indiana doctors reported performing 144 abortions in the time period. That doesn't necessarily capture all of the abortions performed during that time period, because the state gives doctors 30 days to submit the forms when the patient is 16 or older.

Timeline

June 22: Police in Columbus, Ohio, are made aware of the girl's rape through a referral by Franklin County Children Services that was made by her mother, according to police.

June 24: U.S. Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade. An Ohio law restricting abortions when fetal cardiac activity is detectable goes into effect.

June 27: Bernard receives call from a child abuse doctor in Ohio seeking an abortion for a 10-year-old who had been raped, according to what Bernard previously told IndyStar.

June 30: Abortion is performed.

July 2: Bernard files the required "terminated pregnancy form" with the Indiana Department of Health and the Department of Children Services.

After this story broke I watched conservatives being interviewed on TV saying that they stood up for it. That's the real point, conservatives stood up for this child abuse.

Old Dude, what if it were your 10 year old daughter? Would you force her to carry the baby to term? Can you honestly answer that?

If it were my daughter I would have driven or flown her to where ever she could get the abortion, child rape should be punishable by death in my book.

Just like that bitch from Dakota saying she wouldn't allow a 12 year old raped by her father to have an abortion, you conservatives are sick.

Can you answer the question about your daughter?

You ask,  "who makes the decision on when it's a life"

apparently you do not understand current eents, let me update you.

1 Supreme Court ruled that abortion is not a right granted by the constitution.

2  So it is a state right to govern abortion issues.

3. States are the ones to decide such things as "when is it life", when can or when you can't have one.

4.  local elections will be the deciding determining factor.

5.  The process of goverment by the people for the people, has WON!
