This is a committee that does not even meet the standards of our goverment or our constitution.  It is not a court, it fuctions on made up rules as they go along.  It has NO judicial power.  It is not against the law for Trump to talk to anyone.  But every day you post like this is the one, the smokeing gun, the end of Trump.

Please! pull you head out of your ass!  Yu are becoming worse than Jett.

Remember the Watergate commission?

No one ever said they were going to prosecute

Old guy, you just like throwing around tidbits but you are forgetting some important points

1. The vice chair of the committee is a republican

2. You are hearing witness accounts, most of them either worked for / with Trump or formerly supported him

3. Trump is under investgiation in Georgia, DC, NY and the list goes on

At some point, your brain will engage with the fact that Trump is a conman and criminal and he very well  may  have committed multiple crimes.

1. The vice char is no republican, she has even been remover out of her state Republican Party.  True republicans were kicked off the committee.

2.  Sure a few witness worked in association with Trump and his supporters, but it is all hearsay testimony.

3.  Yep, they have investigated Trump for over 5 years now, and as long as he makes the democrats look like incompetent fools they will keep investigating him.  NOT ONE CLAIM FOUND TRUE!

At some point you will find you are being lied to,  buy a political party that is not capable of managing a lemon aid stand.  They are busy filling there pockets with your money!

I read a lot of that and soon realized it was just a regurgitation of the events that information and facts were ignored in the first.

You are wasting your time trying to convince anyone, buy posting crap that contains no new information.

You are wasting your time trying to convince anyone the election was not stolen, we all in one camp or the other.

None of the investigations resulted in prosecution. That is not the same as "NOT ONE CLAIM FOUND TRUE!"

One can not prosecute a sitting president. Trump is no longer POTUS, so that issue is moot.

Trump's followers still present a clear and present danger to American democracy. He has denounced elections in general and 2020 in particular, before and after the actual election, as being 'rigged'. Trump, Trumpists ignore the fact that there is no substantial evidence of any irregularities. He and they are willing to destroy American democracy solely to enhance his image.

Trump can not bear to have lost anything, ever. He sees himself as perfect. Perfection is possible only with a god... That's a huge tell that The Donald has real emotional, personality issues; and as a POTUS, that endangers America, Americans. We only suffered a couple hundred excess deaths from his denial, delay in responding to the novel coronavirus. Not to mention the sharpest economic contraction and highest unemployment ever.

America was lucky. We should not push our luck, we should quit while we're ahead.

"This crap just does not stop" since 2015. But we're almost done with The Donald. He's proof of the cliché:

“Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.”

Trump can't 'remain silent", he suffers from verbal diarrhea.

Witness tampering is not only illegal it constitutes an admission of guilt.

The act itself is typical Trump- nothing is 'wrong' unless it is illegal and it's only illegal if he is convicted of the criminal act.

If he is convicted it is because the evidence, the trial was rigged.

Trump phone call to Jan. 6 witness prompts DOJ referral

2 minute read
WASHINGTON, July 12 (Reuters) - Donald Trump called a witness who has yet to appear before a congressional committee investigating the 2021 U.S. Capitol attack, Representative Liz Cheney said on Tuesday, raising concerns the former president might be illegally trying to influence witness testimony.

Speaking at the end of a three-hour hearing, Cheney, one of two members from Trump's Republican Party on the nine-member panel, announced that it had referred the matter to the U.S. Justice Department.

The witness did not pick up Trump's call but did tell their lawyer, said Cheney, vice chair of the House of Representatives Jan. 6 committee.

"Their lawyer alerted us. And this committee has supplied that information to the Department of Justice," Cheney said in her closing remarks. "Let me say one more time: We will take any effort to influence witness testimony very seriously."

The call occurred after the committee's last hearing on June 28.

A Justice Department spokesman declined to comment on whether Trump may have tried to intimidate a witness.

A representative for Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Cheney said in a television interview broadcast last Thursday that the panel may make a criminal referral to the Justice Department recommending that anybody who tried to influence testimony be prosecuted.

The witness-tampering issue emerged at the committee's hearing a week ago, when Cheney disclosed that some witnesses reported receiving veiled threats from Trump allies to do "the right thing."

Democrat Jamie Raskin, another committee member, told CNN after the hearing: "Witness tampering is a crime in the District of Columbia. It's a crime in federal law, and it's a form of obstruction of justice."

"We want it to stop ... I'll leave it to the Department of Justice to decide where to take it from there."
