Here are some big 'right run cities' with high crime rates:
Jacksonville, FL Republican Mayor Lenny Curry:
Oklahoma City, OK Republican Mayor David Holt:
This last example hurts my heart, it's my family's historic home- Omana, NE. Republican Mayor Jean Stothert
Now, let's do a little rational, logical thinking:
Cities get big because they have commercial advantages in their locations and are able to provide services based on taxable assets in their area. Eff-all to do with political party running the metro, except in peculiar, specific examples like San Francisco. And college towns. On the other hand, metros with large industrial bases tend to be conservative, whether the admins are Republican or Democratic.
But, to the point- those big cities are able to provide services that attract poor peope, and poverty has a proven connection to criminal arrests, convictions. Rich populations tend to 'lawyer up' more often, avoiding prosecutions.
The flip side, my friend is that the more populous areas that youo denounce as 'blue' and therefore corrupt tend to be more immportant economically. Does that cause liberal leanings? Well, rural populations tend to lean more to conservative. |
