The audacious PR plot that seeded doubt about climate change

The audacious PR plot that seeded doubt about climate change - BBC News

Thirty years ago, a bold plan was cooked up to spread doubt and persuade the public that climate change was not a problem. The little-known meeting - between some of America's biggest industrial players and a PR genius - forged a devastatingly successful strategy that endured for years, and the consequences of which are all around us.

.....

He had worked for the chemical industry discrediting research on the toxicity of pesticides; for the tobacco industry, and had recently run a campaign against tougher emissions standards for the big car makers. Harrison had built a firm that was considered one of the very best.

-----------------

This guy has been hired by multiple industries to either downlplay or completely lie about the risks ...

Unfortunatlely, people still believe this crap. It's a shame. They don't know that the guy who invented the "clime change is a hoax" is actually the one dishing out lies on tobacco, pesticides, etc.

Flipper, old guy and obsy, the proof is out there and the data is there. You can choose to ignore it or continue to support whaty you know in your gut is fake.

I believe in climate change. It's just that my definition is a little different than yours, that's all.

It's hotter than hades here so global warming is present. But I like to call that summer.

Listen budha, climate change is real, no doubt. But there's a thing called a cycle. You know the word, you like to use it when referring to the market when it's crashing under the guy you voted for.

Cycle for you tree huggers is the same as racist for the libs. It's a word that is used to support the current agenda at any given week. You know, a cycle.

So do you think the what this idiot in office is doing is called environmental responsibility?

So our oil and gas demand hasn't changed. Yet creepy joe has cancelled the oil & gas leases so we can't drill anymore. So now we must IMPORT our oil & gas from the saudis making them richer than they already are.

So how does that oil & gas get over here??? A reasonable question.

It's brought overseas by tankers. And these tankers burn 2000 gallons of fuel every hour. So where do those emissions go?? I'm assuming into the atmosphere.

So is that considered environmantal responsibility? And does that really make sense?
