At the range was a two day course of tactical training, and many people came up to Idaho from California, to attend.   It was like for two days we were questioned about state laws.  They were amazed over Idaho's firearm laws.  When state taxes came up, they could not believe the difference.  One person claimed he just purchased a EV and the additional state fees was close to $1,000.  The subject of Business regulations, left many with their jaws wide open, it was hard for them to believe how easy busines regulations were.  Everyone I talked to said, they are considering moving.

what I learned was just a few ways of just how controling and overbearing a state government can become.  Controling on the common average law abiding citizen and letting others get away with murder.

Run where you like. Unless you're buying the right people the taxes will rise wherever you go. No politican ever overlooked the chance to tax the rich and corporations. There's too few of the first and the second don't vote.

"... considering moving" Considering is the operative word. Thinking about and doing something are two very different things. There's a sound reason why Idaho is the 13th least populous state and 7th least densely populated. The reason for those things isn't the scenery...

As long as the electorate reelects people who promise value for the cost, they will be reelected. And the middle class is very persuable on that subject.

Those "others" are called criminals because they choose to violate the law. Which is why I carry, with or without legal permission and have done so since 1970. When I interact(ed) with law enforcement, there has been no issue other than checking the weapon serial number against registry of stolen weapons. Now, were I a criminal or Trumpian jerk, things might have ended differently.

If you don't agree with your state's laws regarding weapons, perhaps you should do more than whine about them here?
