Can you say "President Ron DeSantis"? I knew that you could. The "Liar, Cheat and Thief in Chief" will pretend he 'made it happen'. Some of the Trumperino frog-boys will believe it, some for a long time. As one of our great presidents, Lincoln said, “Judge Douglas cannot fool the people: you may fool people for a time; you can fool a part of the people all the time; but you can’t fool all the people all the time.” Neither can Trump. His base and his influence are shrinking everyday as he becomes a more distant memory. |

I was, for decades, a proud and dedicated conservative Republican- since Goldwater. Even Nixon couldn't change my mind. Trump makes Nixon look a schoolboy.
"I’m Sorry, But He’s Running" and he's losing. As more and more of his criminal actions become public knowledge his weaknesses and failures as POTUS will fade in the public's eyes. Fame grows with time but infamy also grows....
Desantis is conservative enough to attract conservatives of both parties but not extreme enough to repel other Americans.

Most would assume that means a resurgence for Donald Trump. However, sportsbooks have a different Republican in mind.
 It’s interesting to see sportsbooks move to back Ron DeSantis. He’s a prime candidate for 2024 to be sure, but he’s also not guaranteed to win the reelection in Florida. If he can’t fend off either Charlie Crist or Nikki Fried in November then it’s going to be difficult to win the Republican nomination let alone the Presidential election. The polls say that’s a very real possibility, especially if Crist wins the Democratic nomination. Still, sportsbooks are giving DeSantis -1100 odds, or an implied 91.7% chance to win reelection. Are they overestimating DeSantis or are the polls underestimating him?

Wonder if he'll realize at some point the world does not revolve aroudn him. He announced running for president as a publcity stunt. When he saw the reaction he got, it got to his head and ego, and we had arguably 4 of the worst years of our lives. The cancer has been extricated and we can only hope he stays out for good. |
