Someone actually gave this post a thumbs down.

Did they even read it, or did they just see who posted it?

Shark, the ship, Bismarck, was always a big question "once built, what to do".

It was in a protective port, most of the war.  I think for fear they may lose it.

Finally they risk putting it out, and a lucky hit on the rudder ends it's life.

Was even building it a failure in planning, I think so.  Lots of resources used up, for something just to make them feel good.

Sinking the Tirpitz, Sister to the Bismarck and the Heaviest European Battleship Ever

The story of the World War II German battleship Bismarck is legendary. The massive warship was destroyed by British ships and planes and then scuttled by its crew in one of the most famous naval battles in the Atlantic during the war.

Bismarck, however, had a sister. The Tirpitz was commissioned into the Kriegsmarine (German Navy) in February 1941, and after a series of improvements, she weighed even more than the Bismarck. This was the heaviest battleship ever built by a European navy.

The British Royal Navy and Royal Air Force each dedicated several missions to destroying this behemoth, finally succeeding in November 1944. Apart from the sizable periods of time the Tirpitz spent under repair from the damages the British caused in a few of the missions, she was effectively an entire fleet in one ship. So feared was the Tirpitz, that is, the British had to dedicate a huge counter-force to remain in the region, should the Germans release this beast in an attack.

The post was inaccurate:

This map represents the courses made by the combatant vessels.

The Japanese Imperial Fleets Battleshp -Musashi-

sister ship of the -Yamato-

The largest battleship in history,

almost 900 feel long with a crew of 2500

Sank bu the US Navy in October 1944

The Mushashi knowingly sailed into the jaws of death,

the vastly outnumbering US Naval Carrers and destroyers

Was torpedoed 19 times and bombed 17 times before sinking.

If you were a Jap today you'd know about the -Mushsashi-

Because they still remember the heroism and dedication of the

Japanese Kamakazis

and this ship, who fought suicidally

despite unwinnable odds.

Until recently, the most ill fated political campaign in modern times

Jimmy Carter -- President during:

Iranian hostage crisis

Opec Oil Embargo

18% discount rates

No friend of Israel.
anti zionist pro Palestinian.

Walter (Fritz ) Mondale -- Vice President 1977-1981

Lost in a landslide to Ronald Reagan and Herber Walker Bush in 81.

Then beat his own record running for President himself

teaming up ( and losing ) again

with Geraldine Ferarro in 1984.

The "Reagan  Revolution" started a revival of American conservatism

The Iran Hostage Crisis led to the creation of

US Special Forces Command

and today Reagan has a Nuclear Aircraft Carrier named after him.

USS Forestal ( CV -59)

Americas first supercarrier designed for jet aircraft

Service life 1951-2015 ( scrapped)

famous for a disasterous fire in 1967 in the Gulf of Tonkin

where then fighter pilot John McCain had a little mishap with a Zuni middle

which started a fire

killing 134, injuring 161,

21 aircraft destroyed.

John McCain went on to run for President with Sara Pailin

But by that time the Republican Party was full of disgusting RINOs

in fact it was "scrapped" like the ship itself was, by 2015.

Then Trump brought American conservative hopes back from the brink.

he defeated the most unscrupulous character in modern political history:

A defeat worth many celebrations for decades to come!

a virtual Democratic Pearl Harbor !

whatever else Trump has done

good or bad

This was GOOD.

And most Americans want more of it.
