Msg ID: 2748334 Here's a bit of misinformation from the democrats in the GA senate race +4/-4

There's a lot of radio and TV ads runnung that are portraying Brian Kemp as a failure to the people of Georgia.

They start off by saying that Brian Kemp was responsible for losing the MLB allstar game. They misrepresent their claim using the voter suppression bill as the reason.

My previous post dispells that claim, but what they fail to mention is the fact that Stacy Abrams met with the MLB organization lobbying for a change of venue.

The result of her efforts cost the city of Atlanta millions of dollars in revenue along with thousands of low income workers that were denied employment and the opportunity to make much needed paychecks.

And let's not forget that Atlanta is 80% black, while Denver is 80% white. Kinda silly when you put the facts together seeing that according to the democrats, voter suppression only affects the black community.

Then the ads also claim that Kemp is responsible for 6 hospitals closing their doors along with countless small businesses closing shop.

The reality of those claims is the missing facts that those hospitals and businesses closed because of the unconstitutional mandate for the covid shot.

Hospitals didn't have the staff to continue operating. And businesses closed because the Biden administration wouldn't allow them to operate.

None of these accusations and claims against Kemp have any validity what-so-ever. It's truly ashame that these type of ads are allowed at all. Misinformation seems to be the staple of the democratic party.

Once again, we can only hope that people see through the facade and vote accordingly.

"And let's not forget that Atlanta is 80% black, while Denver is 80% white. Kinda silly when you put the facts together seeing that according to the democrats, voter suppression only affects the black community."

First, Atlanta is not "80% black":

"Black Americans are the largest racial minority with 32. 4% of the population, up from 28. 9% in 2000. The city of Atlanta has long been regarded as a "black mecca" for its role as a center of black education, political power, wealth, and culture. From 2000 to 2010, the geographic disbursement of blacks in Metro Atlanta changed radically."

The Republican insistance on "securing the ballot" is effectively the 'literacy requirement' of the early 20th century. It is not necessarily directed against any single voter but it adversely affects minority voters much more than it does non-minority voters. It is interesting that the Republican's panties are all knotted up to restrict certain grooups from voting. Just another way of limiting the franchise to educated white men of property.

Kemp is not responsible for any Atlanta hospital closing. That's a direct result of Georgia's shytty health insurance laws and the community's refusal to adequately reimburse hospitals for health care for impoverished or indigent Georgia citizens who they are obligated by law to treat.

With a larger population of blacks in Alanna, Stacy Abrams lobbied to change the venue, with a cost of millions to those in need.  Regardless of the issues, how can she chase away that kind of benefit to the city.  Proves she does not care about the people, just her power.

But your big mistake is to think that the Republicans effort to have a fair election is anything like literacy tests given to you by the democrats.  Is it you deep racist feelings that allow you to think that a black person is so dumb that they are not capable of optaining a ID card.

If you impair a citizens ability to cast a legitimate ballot you are changing the results of the election.

The Constitution does not require ID to vote, does it?

Voter fraud in American federal elections is vanishingly small, with no significant amount of fraud ever recorded. The usual problem in American elections is legitimate ballots being rejected.

The ID requirement has a racist component in that the poor are less likely to have ID. Poverty has strong correlation with race- African-Americans are over-represented in American povert census figures, at three time the white population.

Where are photo ID laws most common? In the former slave states, where African-Americans are most common.

13 states with no ID requirements to vote, not true,  the ones I checked or have lived in required voter registration that requires a ID to register and signatures to vote, the signatures are verified on the Ballot.

Allmost all of the states require some kind of ID to vote or register, and every state I checked required a signature that is verified.

The constitution requires that the voter is a citizen, how is that done without a ID of some kind.

"The constitution requires that the voter is a citizen, how is that done without a ID of some kind."

You miss the point- "The Constitution does not require ID to vote, does it?"

Now, suppose that resident alien has a drivers license. 20 states offer driving privileges to unauthorized immigrants. That's IOD is it not?

"... every state I checked required a signature that is verified."

The signature is compared to signatures in hand for that voter, not a list of citizens. One self-attests to citizenship in that process.
