gas-light-ing - the act or practice of grossly misleading someone, especially for one's own advantage.
Would we say that is what the liberal democrats have been doing for the past decade +
Is there a word that describes a group of people that make false claims and accusations against an individual or group for political gain. And then once investigated, it is discovered that the party making said claims & accusations are in fact they themselves guilty of the very crime they have accused others of committing?

You seem to make the argument that, "it's not true". Yet it is indeed factual because the proof is actually staring you in the face.
