Ukraine has been a hotspot for Russia for 100 years at least.

In fact, with Mposcow in Bolshevik hands, Kerenski was deposed and Trotski became the leader of tyhe Red Army-- fighting a civil war with the "Whites" who had supported the Csar.
At this critical salient, when the Bolsehviks the were on their asses, beholden to Austro-Hungarian demands for reparations, American Banksters saw their opportunity and funded the Soviets. We then sent our troops to enter WWI, and defeated the Germans, The League of Nations under Wilson demanding they pay US and France reparations until 1989.
The German industrialists were pissed at the terms of the treaty of Versalles, leading to their version of "Make Germany Great Again" -- personified in Adolf Hitler's rise to Chancellor.
