You continue to project...

you have a habit of thinking you know more than you do...

you think you fully understand why they are keeping it afloat...

perhaps they want to figure out a way to bring it down safely without destroying it so they can reverse engineer and preserve the technology to understand how it's communicating, use certain elects as proof of Chinese violating our airspace. Perhaps they are assessing if it's booby trapped ... is there some weaponizatiom? 

there could be an explosive attached if someone tries to dismantle it

perhaps they'll look into how it communicayes, its optical and recon technology ... knowing full well Chinese already have spy satellites that likely get similar quality images...

So again, you often pound your chest thinking you're smarter than you actually are..
